Other Peace in Jerusalem: God Still Writes the Final Word

Tonight, the streets of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv are overflowing — not with fear or rockets, but with rejoicing.
Families sing. Children dance. Flags wave under the night sky.
For the first time in a generation, the sound of war has given way to the sound of worship.

After Hamas agreed to President Donald J. Trump’s historic peace plan — a deal that promises the release of all Israeli hostages and an end to the war in Gaza — Israel is celebrating what many are calling "a miracle only God could have orchestrated."

We’ve witnessed countless political attempts to bring peace to the Middle East — and nearly all have failed.
But as believers, we know something the world often forgets: God does not forget His covenant with Israel.

This moment isn’t about politics; it’s about prophecy.
It’s a glimpse of God’s unchanging faithfulness to His people — even when the world burns, even when hope seems lost.

“Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” — Psalm 121:4

A Divine Pause

Israel has long been a symbol of both promise and persecution — a nation surrounded by enemies yet protected by the hand of the Almighty.
And now, as the guns fall silent and captives are set free, one truth stands firm:
Peace will never come through man’s might, but through God’s mercy.

This peace plan may have human architects, but divine fingerprints are all over it.
The Lord has a way of using the unexpected — even presidents, nations, and negotiations — to fulfill His purposes.
It’s a reminder that while governments may sign papers, only God can soften hearts.

Faith Over Fear

Let this historic moment be a call for every believer: keep praying for Israel.
Because peace in Jerusalem doesn’t just bless Israel — it blesses the world.
When Israel rests, the earth exhales.

As the nation dances tonight, we see living proof that God still moves mountains.
He still answers prayers.
He still redeems.

And even though true, everlasting peace won’t come until the Prince of Peace — Jesus Christ — returns, this moment gives us a glimpse of what’s to come:

“They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks.” — Isaiah 2:4

A Prayer for the Nation

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for every life spared, every hostage freed, and every child who can sleep without fear tonight.
We know this peace is not man’s doing — it’s Yours.
Protect Your people, Lord.
Let revival rise in Israel.
Let this pause in war open the door for hearts to encounter the true Messiah — Jesus Christ.
May Your name be glorified, Your covenant remembered, and Your peace established forever.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

I think we need to remember what the Bible says about this. We are seeing prophecy unfolding both with the signing of the peace agreement and with 200 troops being sent to support it.

Scripture says that when people cry peace and safety, then comes sudden destruction.

The 200 troops being sent is an even bigger prophecy unfolding. The stage is setting up for the battle of Armageddon. Other countries will send troops to the Middle East. The world will turn on Israel.

We need to keep a close watch on this.
