The Bible says that Jesus "Rose again from the dead."
Why does it say "again", when He only rose once?

The King James Version was translated so long ago that the English language has changed a lot since then. Meaning have changed drastically with some words even having opposite meanings as today. Personally, I love the old language, but it is quite confusing for those who aren't familiar with it. Every day that goes by, the ship of the modern English drifts farther and farther from its origins. At this point, they are practically different languages or at least different dialects.

I gather you read KJV? That is my favorite translation.
