The massive storm that struck the New York Metropolitan Area is gone. Where I live, a few miles inland on Long Island, there was no flooding, but the rain was steady, and the winds were very strong. I was stuck in my second floor apartment for two days, watching the tree limbs outside my window being blown back and forth. I thanked the Lord that they weren't being broken off and doing who knows how much damage.
Beyond that, I was totally bored, but being outside would have been too interesting.
Also, I'd made sure that I'd have enough food, so that wasn't a problem.
Now the storm is gone. The wind has diminished to a breeze. This morning, for the first time in almost a week, the light of the rising sun was shining through my window. I'm able to go outside and praise the Lord. Thanking Him for His mercy.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
