Prayer Request Requesting Prayers for Safety from Heavy Winds.

Tomorrow, here in the New York Metropolitan Area, according to the weather reports, there will a major windstorm, with the winds blasting between 40 & 50 MPH, all day. Going outside will be too dangerous.
I'm living in a Senior Citizen Village, which is reasonably safe. All the buildings are very firmly constructed. Each one has its own generator inside the building. There is no risk to losing our electricity. I have enough food.
The problems will mostly be going outside. There are some things I need to go outside to accomplish, but I'll just have to wait patiently for the next day. That's New Year's Eve Day.
Many of the local businesses may be damaged, and their employees harmed.
I ask for prayers for all of us. That we be kept from harm.

Yeah, we had the same winds yesterday. Even up to 60mph. It's those driving that need to be so careful. Praying for all.

Thank you, Lynn: When you think about it, we don't realize how fortunate we are to have weather forecasts, that keep us informed 10 days in advance.
I remember the TV Show, "Little House on the Prairie", about a family living in the Old West, in the19th Century. One episode featured a school, where the kids were attending class. The Teacher saw snowflakes falling outside the window. She sent all the students home, and they found themselves caught in a blizzard.
Like I said. We don't realize how fortunate we are.

Our area had up to 130 wind gust speeds the week before last which took out power in some places for up to a week. Sections of trees were mowed down and huge trees were ripped up by the root or snapped off and carried away.
