I've mentioned before that I live on Long Island, east of New York City. According to weather reports, a major storm is predicted to strike this entire region, beginning on Sunday, and lasting through Tuesday. Major flooding is predicted, along with wind gusts up to 50 miles an hour. This obviously means that it will be too dangerous to go outside.
In the time before the storm strikes, I'll be going to the local Stop & Shop Supermarket, to get myself all the food I'll need during this crisis, when I'll remain safe in my apartment.
This is also going to be a major stressful time for me, and I assume most of my neighbors.
I'm requesting prayers that the Lord will grant us safety, along with peace of mind and a sense of well being.
In Jesus Name. Amen.

Now the storm, called a "Northeaster" has struck. I've made sure that I now have more than enough to eat, and I won't have to go outside. While the storm is causing floods and major damages, including power outages, I'm safe inside my apartment. In the senior village where I live, every building has its own electrical generator, so there's no danger of losing power.
I'm now very safe and very bored, but outside, things would be too interesting.
There are a lot of interesting things to deal with safely, on the internet.
I again ask for prayers that the Lord will give me peace of mind and a sense of well-being.
In Jesus Name. Amen.

This morning, I went to the local Stop & Shop supermarket; to get the final food items I'll need to get through the Northeaster. While I was there, I spoke with some of the employees, who are there every day, and I consider friends.
I told them, for the first time, "I am a devout Christian. I will pray for all of you, that the Lord will keep all of you safe, during the storm."
They were all very grateful and thanked me.
I ask that other members of christianwriters.com will also pray for them, along with everyone who each of you know personally. In Jesus Name. Amen
