A question about ProWritingAid. Can it handle (and keep) footnotes? My Bible stories has numerous (more than 100) footnotes. When I copied and pasted from Word, the footnotes disappeared. Other than working with the .docx and the pwa at the same time, making changes to the .docx when I make them in the pwa, is there a way to keep the footnotes?

I don't develop in PWA, I write in Scrivener or Word and then let PWA open the doc to do its thing. If you have footnotes in a .docx, open in PWA, make your edits, Save, and close, I would expect your footnotes would still remain in the Word doc.

OK. They showed up in the saved .docx. They didn't appear in the pwa file I was working in.

Thanks, Johne.

I'd say they are attached to the Word document as part of Word, so unless you save it as a different file format other than Microsoft's docx, the footnotes should never disappear, but they will only be viewable in Word
