My uncle's dog died early on New Year's morning. She had a very aggressive cancer, and he had been caring for her as she went downhill for about a couple months. She was ten years old, and he's had her since she was a pup. We all loved her; she was a great dog. Anyway, it's been really hard on my uncle because she was his family, pretty much all he had except for me and my parents (we're very close to him). I wanted to give my uncle some space after she died, so I left him alone for about a week, but I finally just had to call him last Sunday. I only talked to him for about two or three minutes (when he's in a good mood, our phone calls can easily last a half hour to a whole hour) and I could tell he wasn't doing well. He said he was very, very depressed, and he sounded really bad. I could tell he did not want to talk. I know it's going to take time; I've been through it. Losing a pet is a really messed-up feeling. It's awful. So I'd appreciate some prayers for my uncle. He is a Christian, and I believe he is trusting God to get him through this time of grieving.
