When Jesus spoke these words,
What did he mean?
Was He talking about salvation?
Or, was it something else?
This is what I have found.
We never know what choices we will face—
What position we will be in-
How our faith will be shaped.
The day we have to make sacrifices-
And, choices we never dreamed about.
Choices beyond normal obedience to God.
They sound insane and make us question God.
What is He calling us to do?
Is He the one who is speaking to us?
Does he know what he is doing?
The day His voice becomes very clear-
The road is about to get much worse.
Will we keep following him?
Even if it means walking away from those closest—
Because of their toxicity-
Their negativity-
Could this be what Jesus meant?
Narrow is the path to life-
And, few are those who find it.
