The Men’s Bible Study tonight was from Proverbs Chapter 18. There was so much to this chapter it’s hard to say what stuck out to me. There was a lot about issues involving the mouth. People who talk before they know what is going on. People who are prone to spreading rumors. People who feel good after they have talked. Don’t remember the exact verse. For some reason I felt like it was talking about people who like to hear the sound of their own voice. They just talk and drive people crazy. Afterwords, they feel good about themselves.
I have noticed that the men in this group like to link Politics to the book of Proverbs to explain the verses. Like pride comes before a fall. The discussion kinda strayed into Trump not getting the Nobel Piece Prize. And, Trump feeling like he deserved it. Enough of that.
I especially liked the verse that talked about how when a man finds a woman he’s pleasing to God. I thought to myself what if a man doesn’t find a woman?
It has been too long since I went to a men’s bible study. At this one is about the book of Proverbs and not marriage. Although linking politics to Proverbs is an insult to Proverbs if you ask me.
