Blog If my people who are called by My name (Revival)

' If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.'

2 Chronicles 7:14 Amplified Bible Classic

This is one of the most powerful verses in all of scripture! The first time I heard this verse, it was spoken in a prayer circle I was part of in prison, of all places. The man who recited it had memorized it, and I was so impressed by this verse that I purposed to do the same. I have etched this verse onto the tablet of my own heart, and I have often prayed it for various reasons ever since.

Our country is in upheaval! We are polarized and thus paralyzed because of our division, and many of our long-held values have eroded significantly from our early days (as a nation). We are living in perilous times, to say the very least. Though we enjoy incredible prosperity and our nation is the backbone of the world's economy, our culture has become self-obsessed, self-sufficient (not God-dependent), and many of us see our great need for revival! We need to get back to where we once were as a nation and as a people!

I have been praying over this verse and asking our faithful God to pour out His Spirit on those of us who are His people, those of us who are called by His name! I pray that we will indeed humble ourselves and seek His face, and that as a nation we will turn away from our corruption, our wickedness in every way, and as a nation we will seek His Face as our most vital necessity!

In doing so, the Lord promises that when we do, He will hear from Heaven, He will forgive our sins, and He and He alone will heal our land! This verse is a promise and a clear blueprint —a roadmap —for genuine revival!

Let All His Saints shout AMEN!

This scripture is the backbone of what it means to be a prayer-warrior. However, I am realizing that people do not understand what it means to be humble. Let us all be mindful that we are nothing without God, that He has created us for His kingdom and His work,

Absolutely!

What does the Lord require of you, oh man? But to love Kindness and Mercy, and to walk humbly before your God! People in our day are much like what Paul warned of would come in the last days..

' BUT UNDERSTAND this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear]. For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane. [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good. [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God. For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].'

Nothing about what Paul is describing is a people who know anything about humility, loving Kindness, or mercy!
