When we hold hands with the one who ( Jesus ) leads, we become one another's strength. No one is strengthened without being one with the word which strengthens, and no one is strengthened without another, because we are one another's strength as we fulfil our role in Christ Jesus in love, spirit and truth.
We come in our weaknesses, but it is the infilling of the word dominating and filling us with Life that strengthens us and we're strengthened to strengthen others. We're not called to stand alone, were called to hold hands, by holding hands I mean; being one another's strength, because we all are members of the body of Christ, functioning differently for one purpose.
I saw in John Bunyan’s the revelation given by God, that;
Not only must we be rid of the burden of sin and death and of the world, it is the will of the king that we continue through this journey to the celestial city where we'll be made a new man, empowered, given a call and being told what to do as we're sent back to help others who're coming along the same path we've threaded upon.
We become God's hands to reach out to them, and they also in turn becomes our help, God's hand reaching out to us, to enable us receive more from God, to help the more. With them, without an object to express love, love isn't complete and we cannot receive more from God to help more. As we help, the way will be paved for more seeds to be planted and harvesters to hasten the harvest, that we shall all share in the glory of God.
Whatever God has rescued us from, be it sin or any light afflictions and trials, when we're risen, they become scars which turns into stars which God uses to empower us by the holy spirit to save others. By His stripes, we're healed, likewise we're called to be a reflection of the life of Jesus, healed to heal others in spirit soul and body.
A man who has been delivered from rage, lust or whatever, can be used by God to deliver others also, who're in the same bondage as he once was, because of the scars from his wounds which has given him the authority and power of God to do so in the name Jesus. Whatever we've been saved from, they become scars which turns into stars to enable us release the power of God in His authority to save others. Meanwhile, we must desire to become more like Jesus for more of Him to be manifested through us sufficiently. By doing this we're holding hands with a great multitude.
An encouragement given to a depressed, when spoken from a heart filled with the life of God, releases the power of God to destroy the spirit of depression. The person made whole might see it as mere encouragement only to someday give God the glory when he realized he has been set free.
From a depressed man set free, a seed, can spring forth into a tree bearing much fruits, a hundred fold or more. Meanwhile, it takes God's word dominating us, I mean, it takes a life of constant relationship with God, to be rewarded with much power to deliver and restore. When we become more of God we become more of His power.
We must be filled with more of God's life through intimacy else, what we cannot deliver will cause a negative feedback on us. Just like how the demon possessed beat up the seven sons of Sceva.
For instance; when we pray or preach the word to someone having the spirit of depression or lust without having the full armor of God, without being fully equipped and given the necessary power to exercise the authority over, in the name Jesus, by staying always in God's presence, the same spirit of depression will find it's way into us. Now, I’m not saying this to scare anyone, the mature in Faith will take to heart and do everything willing to stretch forth their hands to hold others while holding strongly and firmly to God's hands. Whatever you do, be led by the spirit, being led by the spirit is reciprocal to growing and attaining maturity in spirit, rapidly.
Whatever we do, must be done in sacrifice, anything done in sacrifice to the flesh brings God's presence more to the scene through His word. Nothing is too small to give, we all are holding hands.
To know God is to know His presence, knowing God's presence is knowing His power. Just a word of encouragement done in genuine love from a heart dominated by the life of God can turn the salvation of a depressed man into the salvation of thousands. When we stretch forth our hands of Faith, what we have to give is life as Peter did for the blind man at the beautiful gate.
When you become God's hands holding hands with that man once depressed, he'll in turn continue the chain and might hold hands with an extra thousand hands coming out of darkness.
We don't know how, God knows all we have to do is obey and then, God extends the chain. Leave it for God, He'll take it from there. The harvest is God's, the sacrifices, ours. I mean, ours is to obey and sacrifice ourselves to gain more power and authority in love to save others, and God's, is to bring the harvest.
All the disciples had to do was give to Jesus what they had, five loaves and two fishes, by giving it to Jesus, He gave it to God and gave it back to them. They broke these bread with their own hands without it running out and fed over ten thousand including men, women and children. So also, when we give what we've been given by God back to him as His hands, He gives the increase to a great multitude we've never seen with our own eyes but by Faith.
The five loaves reflects our faith substance, the life of God in us. When we give whatever ( Life ) we given to men back to God in Faith, trusting Him for the harvest, He'll multiply through us and we'll become His hands, channels, to give more to others, streams of living water from which He'll bring many to drink from.
In other words, if I speak just a word in faith in prayer, or in the word, or even giving a dollar to someone in need. I mean, anything we have to offer to meet the needs of the crowd ( from one to billions ). Even if only one man received in God's spirit of love through the giver ( servant ), God will take it up from there and continues the increase. He can break that bread ( life ) to thousands, hundreds of thousands and even more, only if we continue to give Him our lives, our all, in Faith.
God's strength is released more through us when we become less of self and more of Him. Then, we become strengthened even more to strengthen others. By helping others stand strong, they too in turn, do the same to us, because as we help, our position in Christ Jesus increases and as our position increases, God will use us more to override and crush stiff oppositions such as principalities paving way for more hands to be held.
It is the manner of help we give in love that rewards us with the power to break every oppositions as we move higher in obedience to build God's kingdom. For us to become a king in the kingdom of the king of kings, we must love enough to rise above all entities of darkness standing against God's kingdom by holding hands, I.e. by Love, sacrificing for the salvation of men and restoration of God's kingdom. Jesus said;
“ Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.
And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
[ Matthew 20:26-28 ]
We all are of different faith, we all are of different strength, where we've walked through, we're called back to hold hands with those who're are yet and are walking through, this can only be unveiled to us as we take time to listen to the holy spirit by growing to maturity in Faith. Such kind of love, compassion to remember there are those who're still in the place or position we've walked through can only be expressed by the spiritually mature in Faith.
If we walk without caring to look back to hold hands with those who're behind, the church cannot really get through the entrance, we remain stuck in the path, not unto death, but in Christ Jesus the path of life. Ask Peter and He'll tell you what he Jesus said to him in
“ And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.
But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
[ Luke 22:31-32 ]
A race can never be called finished not until every runner has reached the finished line, irrespective of their position, no matter how long it takes. So, also is the race of the church.
Whatever God has given in spirit and in body, when we desire to press onward to the throne of God so we can be given more to give in Love, then we all truly are holding hands. God doesn't have hands to do is to his work, but he made us to become His hands.
Whatever spiritual gifts God has given in spirit, whatever talents and ability in the material both mental and physical, are all generously given by God, so we can hold hands with one another, more especially with those who are of weak Faith and little strength or nothing at all.
There was a man who seeks to go through an entrance. He made haste to get through it on time. However, on his way, he was directed through a path of narrow edges which serves as a bridge, beyond was the entrance, around him was a dirty water or swamp rather, before him were two men walking in hesitation.
With these men before him, he could no longer go further in haste as he began. He had to endure patiently and tarry there. Mr. B seems to be faltering as he walked this narrow edges and the other, Mr. C, often times fell into the swamp, only to find himself immersed, struggling to swim back up to the narrow edges. He was drenched in dirt, He had to be washed with a bucket of water before they could continue. He repeated the same pattern of falling, drenched, rising up and moving on.
Getting through the entrance became and remained a great hindrance. Not for long, until Mr. A decided they'd all hold hands becoming one another's strength as they walk through the narrow edges. Only then could they get closer to the entrance.
We all are holding hands, God can use a man ( us ) to turn the world upside down even in a day, all Jesus requires of us is Faith, Love to yield our hearts, our all in sacrifice, and obedience to move with His spirit wherever He pleases to blows like the wind.
Like many ropes, woven and tied together, we can be used by Jesus to reach into and pull the world out of deepest depths of darkness. We only need to become a strong rope interwoven with the word to become part of the chain. Jesus wouldn't want to attach a thin thread as part of the chain.
As seen in the revelation; Love became the only way for them to get through the entrance on time. Let us hold hands, lest we tarry for long in the edges while the entrance is right before us.
We come in our weaknesses, but it is the infilling of the word dominating and filling us with Life that strengthens us and we're strengthened to strengthen others.
