Meets & Greets Happy to be here

Welcome to our writing family, James. Glad you joined us. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you like to write. You'll find plenty of help, support, and encouragement around here, so roam around and make yourself at home. Blessings on your writing! ::D

Alright.
I decided to develop a writing skill one day, out of the blue -just learned the phrase 'out of the blue'. Maybe one day I will be called a writer. Why did I choose to become a writer? Well I don't know but I have always been in awe of people that can pen down their thoughts, of good books and one thing I have known right from ages is that I am an avid of reader of books, mainly non fiction. Do I have passion for writing? maybe but I don't think I have passion for anything (eating and sleeping maybe?😞). But I have been coming to love writing. I have never thought I could write anything, but I am writing something now though shitty as they come. I like the way trying to write forces me to think and work hard (I am trying to build discipline into my life) and do something.

I hope what I wrote say something about my journey to writing. I am an undergraduate. I am in my twenties. I am working on writing fiction. The book I am writing- or I am trying to write-now is a Christian romance.
My goal is to be good enough to get paid for writing books.
What again do I want to say? Ok I remember. It was when I checking for online forums I can join to help me in my writing journey that the name of this forum came up. And I signed up. I am happy to be here once again.

Welcome, young James! One of my longtime prayer partners is marriage to a Nigerian pastor of a small church in Chicago.
He's a "no nonsense" man of GOD who loves the Lord and is VERY committed to his calling!
My mother served in that congregation until she went home to be with the Lord.
So you are writing a Christian romance? You may want to use the Song of Solomon as a reference. Truth be told: some of its verses even make me blush.☺️
