Does anyone else have book trailers made?

Jeff - Definitely enjoyed your trailer for Book 2 (Terror in the Wychwood). In particular, I thought it had a consistent artistic feel and tone - definitely in line with the brooding fantasy style vibes. I think you chose the perfect amount of "art" - not overloading the viewer with visuals. I think that art style matches your cover-art style very well. I wasn't particularly digging the special effects for the words, as some spun around or disappeared, or the book 'nudging' over to the right, but that's majoring in the minors. Nice job!

Perhaps it's the contemporary stock short clips of some of the other trailers, but for some reason, my brain tends to shy away from these trailers. I think it's like trying to compete with Hollywood and looking like a bad 'B' movie. The ones I like seem to be shorter duration, fewer visuals - tighter scripts. Regardless, I'm super impressed with everyone's efforts. It's something I've thought about a lot for my own books but haven't had the guts to create.

Not sure if any of you have gotten your books on audible (or a similar product/service) before - but have you ever considered using clips or a short scene - maybe cued to your book cover or other imagery (AI?) to be the nexus of a book trailer? I'm considering it, especially as it gives the ad viewer or whatnot an example of your actual writing/audiobook. Curious on everyone's thoughts.

Thanks!

My personal favorite is the trailer for THE WIZARD'S STONE, which started as a cover reveal, but ended up being the trailer. The soundtrack was actually a bunch of sound effects that I purchased online and fit together using Audacity. The voices were either done by me, Steve Fortune, or a friend of mine (he did the Pretty Boy line).

The thing is - you can do some pretty good stuff if you just use a little ingenuity.

Here's that trailer.

Basically, yeah. The thing is, you need to have movement and action to keep people's eyeballs on the screen. I wasn't 100% satisfied with what I had available, but then again I'm an author, not a video expert.

Every book has an audiobook, and it is narrated by the incomparable Steve Fortune. He absolutely NAILS my writing style.

All of my audiobooks are on Audible, Spotify, Apple, B&N, Kobo, Overdrive, and many, many others. I also have YouTube shorts with audiobook samples as well as Instagram shorts and videos on Rumble.

Again - indulging the patience of the mods here - here is one example.

I had one made... Admins, do I have permission to share it here? I wanted to get feedback. This is for my Christian post-apocalyptic novel, but I'm wondering if it's too "dark."

I'll share it once I have permission.

Does anyone else have book trailers made? Where do you get your designers from, and are you satisfied with them?

I subscribed to your Toobs Of Ewe Channel. I call it that because not a fan of Google, but great initiative in marketing.
