Thank You Lord For Blessing Us To Be A Blessing
Luke 6:38 KJV
Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Thank you Lord for all You have done for me, when I was sick You healed me, when I was hungry You fed me, when I needed clothes, You covered me, when my mind was confused, You spoke Your truth into it, when my wife was sick, You healed her, You saved my children, You gave us a home, You have provided everything we will ever need. You are our Great God, Glory To Your Name, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, to our Lord and Savior. King of Kings and Lord of Lords, You LORD are The Holy One.
Your Word has taught us to give when we see someone in need, our hands are open and not closed. Giving freely for a person in need and Your Word promises we get what we gave back.
Everyone of us has seen the person at a corner with the cardboard sign asking for money. Some give, some don't. We all sometimes wonder if the person really needs help or is it a ploy. To those who are saved, we have the Holy Spirit that will forever lead and guide us in truth. He tells us to turn here...when we do the traffic jam we would have been in doesn't make us late. When He say's give...do so.
Life dictates we will all go through it's pitfall's, thank God we are not the ones standing on a corner with a sign asking for help. We are Blessed. That is where our scripture reference reminds us to "Give"...even when we suspect this person is a phony. The scripture also tells us when we give "Shall men give into your bosom". In history, men wore tunics, the person giving receives from those passing by him what he gave to the one in need when they dropped it in his tunic.
The passage also says your return will be given to you..."good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over". For with the same measure you gave, it will be given back to you.
Kindness always matters and costs nothing from us to show it to someone in need. Matthew 26:6-13 KJV is the story of the woman with a Alabaster Box that contained an expensive ointment yet she broke the Box so the aromatic contents could be used to anoint Jesus before his crucifixion. The lady gave all she had and Jesus said Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
We are Blessed to be a Blessing.
Thank You Father For Your Word
