. . . looking back at the "old man", https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Corinthians+5%3A17&version=KJV

Alienation,

we already parted ways,

when Jesus walked that station

of the Cross.  Now it seems that I

am at once united

with many of the same mind.

Pray to God we keep from being strangers,

Jesus did so much to try.

Some preachers ache at empty pews,

cause the full ones seem so few,

not because the numbers lack,

but hearts don't meet--lack long eye contact.

Maybe most partake of the Food

where you are?  Good!

Keep revival close to the vest,

cling to one another, confess.

Alienation,

between us chasm, spark

when Jesus walked that station

of the Cross, we were left short,

but only for a brief while

till Spirit's promise came,

singing "Swing low, sweet chariot"

until saints go march and sway.

When a preacher looks upon pews,

he should first see eyes, two-by-two,

who've entered the ark of Jesus

by the Blood and words of truth.

Faith is not hewn thing,

it has flesh, so palpably

shapens with the heart of peace

and the mind that Jesus brings.

Ten Commandments, etched in stone,

meet your Author's enabled souls.

Alienation, dead in the water,

don't try to attract, you needn't bother.*
