Hello everyone. I haven't been active for months. My mom is now with God. I wanted to share how God and Christ transitioned her from the physical into their arms. Her name was Lois Kahler, and she lived for 95 years. Mom died peacefully. Although sad, knowing God has brought her to heaven brings me joy. Her life was filled with love both for family and others. Her battle with dementia is now over, and I watched God comfort and uplift her during this time in her life. God is incredible. His love is astonishing. Praise and glory to God!

My dear brother in Christ, my sincere condolences for the loss of your mother, Lois Kahler. From the beautiful photo, that you shared, we can see that she was well cared for in her old age. I'm sure that that must have given you great comfort.
I remember when you asked us to pray for you, and your family, when you made the hard decision to place her in a care facility. The Lord answered, didn't He? And, now, your mother is enjoying a place that King Jesus Himself has designed and prepared especially for her. Let the sweetest memories of your times together come to the forefront of your mind and heart, Walter, so that your healing will come with the joy of knowing that our Father in Heaven gave you the honor of being her son. Amen. 🙏

Hi Walter, so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. But there is rejoicing. What a beautiful moment it must have been for your mother to step through the “corridor of time” into eternity. Surely, she walked into His arms to know the “warm and loving embrace” of her Savior. How wonderful for her to enter through heaven’s gate in such a beautiful way, to have given her heart in this life to receive the beauty of His heart forever. Your eulogy was perfectly written. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time of healing.

Blessings!

Oh, Walter, I'm so sorry for your loss but so glad your mom knew the Lord. Such a wonderful anticipation to know you will get to see her again. I wrote the following years ago and have shared it many, bringing comfort to them. I pray it brings you a little comfort as well...

You know, at the end of a day, when the sun disappears from view, the sky still glows with the sun’s beauty long after its departure. Its afterglow brings warmth to the heart of one viewing the heavenly masterpiece.

And the same occurs when a loved one disappears from our view; the afterglow of his or her presence lingers in our hearts long after that one has left our sight. The beauty of such a person never dies, for that one leaves behind so much of their character and personality.

Our hearts are always illuminated by the memories of their smile, their laughter, their kind words, the touch of their hand, and their love for God.

When we have lost a loved one, we may also look at it this way: Of the roses that climb the garden wall, some will blossom on the other side, being hidden from our view, but the vine keeps them joined together.

And so it is with the wall of death. It merely hides the other side; it does not divide. Our loved ones who have gone on to be with Jesus may be hidden from our view, but they have just blossomed on the other side. And, if we, who remain here, are also in Christ, then we are all united together, because the Vine keeps us together.

Hello WD, and thanks for your comforting spirit. Your love is uplifting. Yes, God answered those prayers concerning the nursing home. The care they provided was exceptional. Indeed, Christ has placed her in His house. We are blessed knowing we too will take up residence. Thank you for reaching out. GBY

Thanks, Lynn,, for your warm and loving spirit. Your words are comforting and provide an excellent outlook on losing a loved one. The Holy Spirit assured me that she is with Christ, and God instilled within me an incredible peace with her death. GBY

Your mother was in a win-win situation: if she continued to live, she enjoyed a caring group of people around her, related or not. If she passed on to glory, she's enjoying eternity with her Lord and Savior.
