Howdy,
My Co-Author and I are taking a leap into writing a book in her favorite genre, I come from a Fantasy, Self-Help, Financial Literacy background and she loves Christian Romance books. truly a match made in heaven, for her, I on the other hand am not happy with the book and I would like some 3rd party proofing.

file is too large to attach here, if you want to help out Ill email you the file;

Grace, Restored

Grace Foster walked away from her hometown—and her faith—after a tragic loss shattered her childhood. Now a renowned architectural historian, she returns to Maplewood Springs for her grandmother’s funeral, planning only a brief stay. But Eleanor left her more than a house. She left her a challenge: restore the church Grace once loved and now can’t bear to enter.

What begins as a structural project becomes something far deeper. As Grace peels back the layers of a crumbling sanctuary, she uncovers journals, forgotten prayers, and a quiet town still full of belief—even in her. With the help of a steady-handed pastor and his inquisitive daughter, Grace begins to face what she buried long ago.

In restoring a church’s broken walls, Grace may just find the strength to rebuild her heart—and rediscover the faith she thought was gone for good.

Grace, Restored is a tender, redemptive novel about healing the places we’ve left behind—and finding grace where we least expect it.

It is always tough working in something that is not your native realm, so to speak. Romance is not my genre either, so I'm not sure my opinion would be of much help.

I try to check on the project and jobs section regularly, so if you post it here, I'll probably see it.

So is this project something that you are doing, or just something you are trying to help your partner with?
We are writing this book together, the fantasy book will be my next project and I don’t have a co author lined up yet

No, this is my first time but I have enjoyed it enough that I want to keep doing it
Teamwork certainly has its place, though you may find at times the need to do the work given to you yourself. I've never co-authored a story, then again, I have no clue how that even works. Plus, many of my stories have origins in dreams, personal experiences, etc. Though that may sound strange if you read some of my stories, lol. I try to disguise real events as far-fetched fantasy often times.

the way I do it is, I write the outline and ask the co author if there are any specifics they want to see, then I write a chapter and send it over for them to review. If they have edits or suggestions they make them (we use google docs) and we do this until we are both satisfied. Then we rinse and repeat until book complete.

I create my own story ideas, granted there is nothing new under the sun, but they are typically works of passion or purpose

Interesting. Well I guess that is one way to write a book. I often ask people for their opinion on a story, but I usually write the rough draft before I really bring others into the picture. I try to make all of my stories have a message and a purpose (even that one I did for a contest themed: Bigfoot Reunion 🤣 ).

My wife would probably love that book

Hi, I’d love to read your book! It sounds like the sort of thing I’m into right now. I’m pretty busy with editing right now, but I should be able to fit it in. How many words is it?

Howdy!
I am still editing and rewriting portions as well, I could send you the first couple of chapters if you want to get a feel for it
