Spiderman question :D

I found this list of what Marvel movies to watch in order. I would agree with it:

  1. Captain America: The First Avenger (takes place during WWII)
  2. Captain Marvel (takes place in 1995)
  3. Iron Man (takes place in 2010)
  4. Iron Man 2 (takes place after Iron Man)
  5. The Incredible Hulk (time unspecified, pre-Avengers)
  6. Thor (takes place six months before Avengers)
  7. The Avengers (takes place in 2012)
  8. Iron Man 3 (takes place six months after The Avengers)
  9. Thor: Dark World (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron)
  10. Captain America: Winter Soldier (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron)
  11. Guardians of the Galaxy (sometime in 2014)
  12. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (after Guardians)
  13. Avengers: Age of Ultron (takes place in 2015)
  14. Ant-Man (takes place in 2015)
  15. Captain America: Civil War (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War)
  16. Black Widow (takes place right after Civil War)
  17. Spider-Man: Homecoming (post-Civil War, pre-Infinity War)
  18. Doctor Strange (takes place in 2016)
  19. Black Panther (takes place in 2017)
  20. Thor: Ragnarok (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War)
  21. Avengers: Infinity War (takes place in 2017)
  22. Ant-Man and The Wasp (ambiguous, but fits nicely between IW and Endgame)
  23. Avengers: Endgame (starts in 2017, finishes in 2022)
  24. Spider-Man: Far From Home (eight months post-Endgame)

We've only seen the Marvel movies when they streamed in the order they streamed. We spent a whole lot of time wondering what happened in... (name a city, and something happened there.) But we never did figure out what we were missing until now. We just started streaming from Disney +, and are watching them in the phases they were released. Finally found out what happened in NYC despite having seen it out of order years ago.

It's too complicated to have spoilers about other franchise movies.

(And I'm pretty sure the first time Spiderman showed up in a Marvel movie was when something happened in... Can't remember the place, except somewhere in Europe. But I am talking just the last decade.)

But we did see the three Spiderman movies in the olden days -- two decades ago.

I've been watching them in an order--not the one posted above, but I think it's carefully designed so that I watch certain movies before others so I can catch all the "Easter eggs" (references to previous movies). Anyway the last one I watched was Spiderman: Homecoming. It was really good, especially because it's available on VidAngel, so all the swearing can be cut out--I'd recommend watching it that way. And though it does reference Captain America: Civil War, it spoils nothing and that one isn't necessary to enjoy this one.

All this to say, go for it, it won't spoil anything to watch it out of order, as Suspense said.

Wow.  I have to wonder about anyone who actually takes the time to put this together . . . 🙄

But then again, when you think about it, what makes me hours upon hours of video editing classic film clips any more worthwhile?  Maybe I'm just biased.  Sorry, off-topic jaded remarks from the one who never passes up an opportunity to slam Marvel.

That at least makes sense to me.  It's good to hear there are people out there who do that.

My brother is really good. He screens all the movies before I watch them so he can cut out parts that are bad. ❤️ (He can't do it with all the swearing, though, because that would take too much in-depth screening). He's so nice!

That's amazing!  Sounds like you have a really cool brother. 😀
