Happy birthday, William D'Andrea!

Recommended Posts

Thank you Lynn.  Today I'm 76 years old and in very good shape for a man my age.

Yesterday my sister drove over with a friend, and we went out for lunch at a nearby Italian restaurant named Cafe Gia Pizza and Pasta.  It's only a five minute drive from my place.  They're not just selling pizza.  They have a full menu.

I ordered chicken parmigiana with spaghetti and sauce.  There was so much that I was able to take half of it home, and put it in my refrigerator.  I will be having those leftovers for lunch today.  After that, I might still have a little left over for a snack tomorrow.

My sister, her friend and I had a very enjoyable time together, after being separated for much too long.

While we were still seated at the table, our waitress brought over a small cake slice, with a single candle, which I blew out after they all sang "Happy Birthday".  I liked that it was just one candle.  It could have been 76.

"Take a reeeeeeeally deep breath Uncle Bill!"

I pray that all of you will have satisfying birthday celebrations, like we had.

     In Jesus Name.  Amen.

And many moooorrreeeeeee! 😄

Well, since you had all that chicken parmigiana with spaghetti and sauce (and the cake with only one candle 😄), surely you don't need any more sweets... 😆

When I had my 75th birthday, at work we shared a cake. They had the numerals 7 and 5, but they weren't on the cake yet. I tried to switch them and put the 5 first. They caught me!

That reminds me of the time I attended my friend's birthday party as a kid. She was turning five, and her brother was turning nine. Their parents put both of the candles on the cake, and [I think it was] my friend's brother who commented, "Look, it says 59!" Then their cousin suggested, "Or 95!)

😆 Ah, kids.
