Beta Readers for RUTH

Recommended Posts

I have now completed the 1st main draft of RUTH.  This is the follow on book to HANNAH. It opens a few months later to the first book. Again it is located in the fictional town of Blossom Hill populated by both Amish and English folk but the story moves to England.  It is told from the joint POV of Hannah and Evan, her younger brother and set in 2019. (Pre COVID)

AT the moment it is about 50K so one of the key issues will be how and where to expand the story.

I have not written a synopsis yet for it but here is  stab at summing it up:

As a key witness for a forthcoming trial that could put dangerous men behind bars, Hannah has to flee her home and all she knows to keep loved ones safe. But she leaves with one goal in mind other than her own survival, to find a bone marrow match for her terminally ill mother. When Hannah discovers  the aunt her mother's twin, who fled Blossom Hill as a young woman, is still alive and lives in England, Hannah sets out, to find her.  But forces are working to prevent her from finding the elusive Ruth and the man who stands to lose everything if the trial goes ahead, drug leader Jorgen, is deadly in his intent to silence her. Can Hannah stay alive along enough to find Ruth and can Evan find let go of his grief for his first love?

OK, it a bit rough and slushy but you get the drift. If interested please PM me.

Thanks
