Short Story Publishing

Recommended Posts

What length of stories are you talking about?  If you're talking about ones in the 1,000-3,000 range, this list may be helpful! (I got it from a fellow teen writer awhile back, except she had much more experience with this type of thing than I do lol)

If your short stories are in the CF genre (still similar word range), I'd recommend looking into submitting stuff for the Brio magazine (an inspiring magazine for Christian girls/teens)!  The link for that is here: https://www.focusonthefamily.com/parenting/brio-magazine/  (scroll all the way to the bottom and look under "contact us" to see the links for submission guidelines and stuff)!

Emily, are you just trying to post the stories for people to read free, or do you have another objective? If they're family-friendly stories and you're just posting to read, I have a new project that might be a good fit.

I don't know, actually. I have zero experience and no firm idea of what I want, I just feel like I should be getting my writing out there. Do you have any recommendations?

I just finished a novelette and someone recommended pursing publishing. I'd prefer not to self publish, so I was looking for some way to get it out there.

Does any of that answer your question?
