Anyone know anything about corrupted Word documents? I've tried a bunch of stuff and ended up changing it from odt to doc. Now I'm able to open it, but this pops up and it's still encoded.  😭😭😭

Well, I don't know about encoding. It was just a thought. I have no idea that it will fix it but I thought maybe it was worth a shot. ???

Thanks!  I tried, but it's encoded still. Just a bunch of blocks. . .

What if you searched Version History in Word and restored an earlier saved version?

the version with all the little boxes won't let me click on it. The other version won't open.

Can you contact someone at Microsoft?

Are your other documents OK? Have you been hacked?

And for what it's worth, the two Command keys do the same thing. They just give you a left-hand key and a right-hand key, like the two Shifts.

Sophie, this may be too late but you can do a restore

Type 'restore' into the Windows Search box and select Windows Restore. Ur restore to an earlier time.

Select the closest restore point to the file corruption if you have multiple options.

Select Next and Restore

Arrr the problem is I think it was corrupted several months ago. Would it still work? Don't have Windows on Mac but I can try it on my PC. . .
