kiwigummy 309
fyi, alt-tech refers to alternative technology, as in competitors to the mainstream social networking platforms. Parler is the alternative to Twitter which was kicked off the Amazon servers earlier this month, allegedly for not having monitoring guidelines. Anyway, I heard this story about Colleen Oefelein who was a Christian literary agent working for the Jennifer DeChiara Literary Agency. She was offering critiques on Parler and was subsequently fired. The tweet thread is attached. It's already super hard to break into the publishing industry, and this makes it harder. Ky_GirlatHeart 1,303
Wow. Absolute wow. I wouldn't be surprised. Lots of conservatives are being banned on Facebook and Twitter and all that, and it would especially tick people off if they use something like Parler.
Johne 2,001
I think we're missing the silver lining here–we now know we can safely avoid doing business with the Jennifer DeChiara Literary Agency.
