When to Publish a Revised/New Edition of Your Book?

Recommended Posts

I'm new in the publishing scheme of things, and I recently published my first ebook via Amazon. I have been updating small things in the book, but now I have to change something, and I'm not sure whether I should publish a new edition or just revise the current version. Is there a hard and fast rule about when to do this? I don't know if the change is significant enough.

I’d say just revise the current edition, unless you’re adding whole new chapters, or something major like that.

If the changes are minor, simply revise the current edition. If anyone purchased the original edition, they should have access to revised edition at no cost to them.
