Esmer-smella? 😏

Hey, not all nicknames are nice.  🤭

As a side note to nicknames, fighter pilots don't get to choose their call-signs. They are chosen for them, and usually to commemorate something stupid or embarrassing they did.

Mera? Meri?

I think Esme would be the most common.

"E", "Mer" "Es"   or "Ez" what about last name or middle name? My brother's name is actually Roger Benjamin Williams, but he goes by Ben. Not even his middle name but a nickname from his middle name... just some thoughts.

Well, I used that name for a tragic short-term character. Her husband called her "Ezzie," in 1869.

She might have a characteristic that could be her nickname. Pumpkin, Cookie, Babe, Fuzzy, Toobie. The sky's the limit!
