Christian Horror

Recommended Posts

Anyone out there writing horror stories? Any feelings about that?

Scott Derrickson, a screenwriter and Christian wrote: To me, the horror genre is the genre of non-denial. It's about admitting that there is evil in the world, and recognizing that there is evil within us, and that we're not in control, and that the things that we are afraid of must be confronted in order for us to relinquish that fear.

I don't know, but it's an interesting topic.  Why don't you pose the question under Writing and Publishing?

🙂Welcome!

I will agree that there is evil in the world.  We also all sin, and that comes from evil and not God.  Praise the Lord for Jesus who has a great plan!

I'm not sure we should be writing horror stories as Christians. There is enough of this genre already out there. We know bad things happen and should put them in our stories to show that good can come out of bad and the power of prayer.
