Funny story -  In to the 3rd book when I realised that I my villain had the same last name as my bishop. Whoops!

 

(I'm still keeping it though.)

I've been there. Thinking, Oh, that's a good name, and then later realizing that it sounded so good because I had already thought of it and given it to a different character...

Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I'm just wondering how you see them differently. Obviously, the spelling, but what different thoughts do you have for each one?

 

If the name occurs often in the book, the "v" name will take up less space, but I don't think you're concern is about that.

Selvyn is easier to pronounce but I like Selwyn better.

Selwyn is a real name, if that helps. I don't know about Selvyn. I prefer Selwyn just because of the sound.
