Author platform discussion (part 5)

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Let's discuss author platforms. This is a huge topic, so I'm starting a series with different themes/questions for each one.

Part 5

What do you use the most to check, make, and post on your author platforms? (Phones, laptop, tablet, etc.) What is the easiest for you? Does it change with the platform you are using? Do you know what your readers prefer to use?

Personally, I create on a laptop and post on my phone. Mostly because I have to use the hotspot for my laptop.

My laptop. Since I don't own a phone or a tablet.

And I access yours on my phone. 😄 😋

Laptop. My old flip phone is too much work to type anything other than short texts. And I'm still figuring out the tablet. I like keyboards I can actually type on.

Yikes! I totally forgot to check it on the phone with the new newsletter. Does it come out okay?

I use my laptop for everything apart from posting new content on Instagram. That's only possible on my phone, although I can reply to posts on there with my laptop as well.

EB, there a way to use your computer for IG. You go through iTunes. I had to do that since I have no phone.

I do most of my work on my phone. But I'm too lazy to sign out of my personal Pinterest account on my phone as I use it often so I will manage Pinterest and my website from my laptop

Laptop for blog and Facebook. I can do Facebook on my phone but sometimes it won't toggle between my personal account and author page correctly, and then it makes a mess. 😜 Twitter I use my laptop and phone interchangeably.

I tend to check this site and other site using mobile or desktop (simply because I work from home using the desktop so easy to check notifications.)

Mobile is used when out and about or in the evenings when otherwise occupied.

As yet I don't have specific author platforms so it tends to be work or personal platforms such as twitter, WhatsApp or Facebook.
