Christian Writing Where to begin

Hi,
I had a God download for a children's book years ago. I'm hoping I have found someone to do the art for the book. Any suggestions or advise on the next step would be appreciated. This is very overwhelming for me but I truly know God wrote this book so I want to publish it one day.

First of all, be very careful what you do in any area of your book production. There are a lot of scammers out there. Be sure you check with us before you do anything.

I think it's rather difficult to find an illustrator. You might want to check with other books that are published and see who the illustrator is. If you know of someone, that would save you a lot of money.

You probably don't know that we have a Meet and Greet section because, at the moment, it is hidden. I hope you'll hop over there and introduce yourself so everyone will know you are here and can welcome you. Go to the Christian Fellowship forum and start a new thread. But I have to ask…what in the world is a God download? I’m assuming typo, but now I’m seeing possibilities for a creepy Sci Fi plot thread…

I think she's referring to the feeling of powerful inspiration. (I love that feeling.)

My ideas are clearly from my brain, but as we are all created in the image of God, I'll take it.

I feel that God gave me this book to write. It just came to me and I typed as I heard the story. I typed it in 2016 so I need to get it published. I don't feel like I'm the author since all I did was type what I heard. It is a very sweet children's book which many friends want me to publish so they can purchase it.

Yes. That is correct. I have never written a book but this one was something I heard in my head and I just typed it out. I plan to give all proceeds to a children's home of South Sudanese kids.

There are online marketplaces for graphic design, like 99designs.com (which I have not used, but reviews seem positive). That site allows you to host a competition and name a price. Multiple artists will submit designs and you choose which you like. This should work for cover art, but for illustrating a whole children's book, a different approach would be better. Maybe the contest would be to do two illustrations and then you give the winner the contract to illustrate the whole book. Just a thought.
