I read an interesting statistic the other day—as of 2022, most young Iranians no longer identify themselves as Muslim.

Let’s pray that Jesus fills that gap of cynicism and disillusionment, rather than atheism or secular thinking.

Thanks, Zee, for passing on this information. This shows God is at work. Whether they are believers or not, it does indicate a change. There are some Iranians who Christ converted, and this illustrates hope for others.

Yes, the Persian church is growing rapidly, though much of this growth is taking place outside Iran. Inside the country, there is still much persecution, both on a governmental and societal level.

I don't know about Muslim, but a friend of mine here from Iran identifies herself as Persian, not Iranian.

Not everyone ethnically Persian is from Iran, nor is every Iranian Persian.

But I’ve noticed the same thing—most ethnically Persian Iranians call themselves Persian rather than Iranian. Maybe because Iran is a relatively new concept on the world scene, while Persia has been around like…pretty much forever.
