I have been researching publishers on both side of the pond. The thing that strikes me as to a major difference between US & UK publishers is that virtually all the small press Indi publishers in the states request an author to submit a marketing plan with their work.

YIKES. I have not had to do this so far apart from provide comps when submitting. The two publishers I have identified as the most likely to be interested do provide guidelines but I am a 'see it, understand it' kind of person. And being British, I always undersell - it national trait I am afraid, so some US enterpernal buddy to help pull a plan together would be a great help.

Would anyone be interested? Virtual cookies is all I can offer as payment.

Hi Shamrock, I may be able to help, yes. Have you received more guidance since posting this request? Either way is fine, just wondering. I have a sample I can share with you. Please let me know if you'd still like some guidance. I'm no expert but I have gained a lot of marketing experience, resulting in just under 30,000 books sold or given away in the past 4 years.

RC, not a good idea to put your email address out on the web. I removed your it as bots love to roam the site and gobble them up. As for the PM, there's a tiny envelope next to your name in the upper right hand corner. Click that and then you can enter Shamrock's name. One caution though. I'm not positive but there may be a waiting time for new members to be able to use the PM system.

Btw, you probably don't know that we have a Meet and Greet section because, at the moment, it is hidden. I hope you'll hop over there and introduce yourself so everyone will know you are here and can welcome you. Go to the Christian Fellowship forum and start a new thread. Where it says (no prefix), click on it and choose Meet and Greet. If you’re not comfortable doing so, it’s okay.
