    Staring at a blank screen

    Wondering what to write

Want to tell a joke to make you laugh

To take your mind off your troubles

I cannot be by you to say to you it is ok

So, I will send this poem to let you know I am thinking of you

    Nothing funny comes to mind

So, I will tell a story

One time I ate breakfast with a homeless lady

I had time to waste, so I went for a bite to eat

She was by the front door with her cart

She asked for me to bring her a burrito

I said come dine with me

She downed her beer; it was 6 am

She went from a burrito to can I have a steak

I said sure, as we sat in our chairs

    People looking at me crazy

But we sat and talked, but her attention was not always there

she did play card tricks for me that was cool

we ate our meal, and I stuck her with the bill

Just kidding, sticking her with the bill

It was an experience I will never forget

The time homeless woman and I had our first date

Everything I said is true; nothing made up

So, if you are reading this, here is to you and have a good night.
