Isaiah 43:15-21 KJV... 15...I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. 16 ...Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters. 17...Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow. 18...Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19...Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. 20...The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. 21...This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
I am liking the prospect of the "New Normal" vs yesterday's normal. This New Normal offers a clarity we have rarely if ever seen. In Memphis, we had a rain shower last night but today's blue sky seem's brighter. Colors are more vivid or natural and they are beautiful.
I saw a news report this morning that showed how Mother Earth is cleansing herself due to the lack of pollutants in the air. Our niece in Los Angeles told me it is unbelievable how clear the sky is. Animals in our National Parks are roaming freely enjoying their environment as never before. This has the potential of the "New Normal" and it is AWESOME.
The buzz now is getting back to normal. Question, do you really want what we had or the potential of what could be? Going back to normal means political chaos, the rich favored over the working class and least of us...and where is God in yesterday's normal?
This potential new normal means families growing closer together because we have had to be confined. Children actually being with their parents more than away because of job demands. Parents helping their kids with homework, dad's cooking and more importantly imparting wisdom into their children.
I am told Bible sales are much higher because many are searching through it's Holy pages looking for answer's...that is more than a good thing...it is a great thing. As they search many for the very first time will discover the personal relationship they have longed for with God has been there all the time. They just never took time to read it.
The new normal could very well mean church's being filled to capacity because mothers and fathers have finally realized it is God that has kept us safe, it is God who fed us when we had no money, it was God who because of His Mercy & Amazing Grace allowed us to see a picture of ourselves through this difficult time we had not seen before.
He is cleansing His Creation that we continually mess up and proving everyday what we thought was a great normal for many has given those who have always had an opportunity to see what life is like for those who have not.
Which normal will you choose? The choice is yours.
