  • Love And Acceptance

When I think about love and acceptance, the first thing that comes to my mind is, the Love and Acceptance that we have received through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

In Ephesians 1:5-6, the Holy Spirit through the apostle Paul reveals this truth, "having predestined  us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved."

We must all come to the knowledge of this truth, that God the Father loves us.

Jesus said in John 15:16, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."

We have been hand picked by God the Son, and presented to God the Father, and were accepted. This is so powerful,  to me, it is just like when a man has found a woman that he has made a decision that she is the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with. He is now ready to present her to his family, especially to his father and mother, and inevitably wants their approval.

I believe that it is the same way with God, our heavenly Father. He has approved of us because His Son has chosen us to be His Bride.

When we truly receive the fact that we are dearly loved, it will help each and every one of us to begin to love ourselves. We must learn how to love and accept ourselves and one another, in spite of the character defects that we see in each other and stop judging one another.  Lord help me!

Jesus said in Matthew 7:1-5, "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out of thy brother's eye."

It is the will of God, that we make allowances for each other's faults, and learn how to be patient with ourselves and one another. We cannot throw each other away, because we may not see what God is doing in each other's lives.

I believe that we are going to still see flaws in each other, but we must love in spite of.  It is written, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."

Before the foundation of the world, we were chosen by God, to be to the praise of His Glory. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!!!!
