Well, whatever you can do would be great. PM me your email and I'll send you the document to work on as you can. I don't think there is any big rush to get through it. Gonna take a break from it and try and come up with something for the Chicken Soup cat book anyway. -

@suspensewriter and @lynnmosher whatever you have time for I'd be appreciative of. I totally understand about being busy! If there's anything I can do to return the favor sometime, let me know, I would be happy to help you out as well. Do you want to message me the best way to send you the document? -

Yeah, not in the budget for a while... -
Would anybody be interested in going through my Catnip for the Soul devotional book? I've finally got the final polishes done, and need someone to read it as a whole... check for typos, point out where I've repeated myself, messed up my commas, etc. Also wanting opinions on the chapter order and if I should rearrange them, and thoughts on the book as a whole. It's around 23,300 words. @carolinamtne?

Chicken Soup for the Soul story callout
WanderingTiger replied to lynnmosher's topic in Writing & Publishing
Thanks @lynnmosher I'll have to see what I can come up with. -
"I write, for inside of me is much to say. Too much for me to think alone." Cindy McCormick Martinusen I think that is at the core of why I of why I write. Too many things I wonder about, too many things I overthink, too many emotions, too many stories, all rattling around in a brain too small to hold it all. It gets clogged up trying to come out my mouth, so I have to write it down...

Thanks for all the input/encouragement everyone. I appreciate it!

Yes, I've done some research on both traditional and self-publishing. Looked at getting an agent too. Just not sure what the best option for me at this point is. You've worked in publishing and gone that route with your writing, right? Is that what you would recommend for a first-timer?
-
I was wondering if any of you have self published with Amazon? I've been looking at different publishing options and am leaning towards this one at the moment, but would love to hear from someone who has gone through the process what you thought of it.

I always go back to the basics of who, what, where, when, why, and / or how when I get stuck. I just tailor them to whatever project I'm working on.

That's awesome! Now I'm gonna have to go back and read the first two

An Artist (or writer's) Prayer

Sorry about that. Not trying to promote New Age by any means. -
An Artist (or writer's) Prayer
WanderingTiger replied to WanderingTiger's topic in Writing & Publishing
Yeah it looked a little bit new age-y to me too, which I thought was strange after reading this prayer. Haven't looked at it in depth though. -
Just realized I for got to say thanks to all of you who offered advice. So - thanks! I appreciate all the input.
