  1. AHHH! Epiphany! Thank you so much. I was so confused as to why I kept getting error messages. Helped at ton. Thank you!
  2. @LostinFL I'm sorry you're having a hard time with this. In my humble opinion, it sounds like the Lord softened your heart, and then provided the movie for you because it was what you needed to see. Again, my humble opinion, it was the Lord who provided that movie for you, he saved your life. If you can hold onto that, I think it will help. Keep reminding yourself God Loves You! No one can replace him as your hero. I love Maya Angelou. If you need some Godly inspiration, I suggest you listen to the entire Oprah/Angelou interview. I'll post a s
  3. Oh goodness, @Micaiah. I'm so sorry to hear this. I will be praying for you and your family.
  4. Congrats! That's really great Just so you know, I had to figure out the right link https://devotableapp.com/product/prayer-approaching-the-throne-of-grace/ The one you posted gave me a "page not found" error.
  5. Unless you are a paid writer or professional author, I don't think it's going against the commandment. For most of us unpublished writers, I think we can call it a relaxing hobby for now. Work, for me, is what you get paid to do. There are also exceptions to that commandment, even if you are getting paid, if you are doing work for God. For example, we have paid song leaders at church. That's my interpretation.
  6. Thank you lynnmosher. Yes, that's what I was trying to do, post a critique for someone else. I tried to open the post, Pain of Triumph, prologue and chapter 1 so that I could critique it, but I get the above message when I click on the post. Some of the more recent ones, I can see, but once I get past page 1, they all give me the error message. The problem is that a lot of people write in chunks so I don't want to read their most recent work on page 1 without going back to see the older posts that give the beginning of the story. Hope that makes sense.

Sorry, there is a problem We're sorry, the topic or section you are trying to access is unavailable at this time due to one of the reasons below. 1) You are a guest or new member. In order to protect the work of our members, the critique forum is only available to established users. 2) You are attempting to access an archived post. If you believe you have received this message in error, please let us know in the Suppor

  10. Thank you for the welcome :) After reading some other calls for beta readers, I realize that people usually put a synopsis. Here is one for my book... Veronica is the youngest of three siblings living on an Air Force Base in rural Mississippi. When her parents divorce and neither want to take care of her, Veronica's life is ripped out from underneath her feet and a long journey of bouncing around the country to live with different people begins. Along her journey, she and her siblings encounter the underbelly of rural life in Mississippi, the dangers of the inner city gangs of San
