  1. Good question. I'm not really sure--I used a template, so I'll have to do some digging...
  2. Wow, thanks for your generous and encouraging words, Nicola! Yes, I knew it would take some work putting it all together, but I still wasn't prepared for just how much time it takes! And thank you for signing up for the updates Along the way, I'm always open to any suggestions/corrections you may have. Thank you!
  3. Thank you! Yes, an "About Me" tab would be helpful, wouldn't it? Haha it's always the most obvious things that I sometimes forget And I hadn't thought about the cookie/privacy policy. Definitely good to know!!
  4. Just getting my website up and running! SoulTraction.com It's something I've wanted to do for a long time, but I'm just now getting around to it. There are a few articles, short stories, and book reviews on the site, as well as info on my writing services. (I've also posted a couple songs. I love playing music, especially guitar, and my wife is the beautiful voice you're hearing on "God Bless the Child.") I know we're all busy these days, but if anyone does have a spare minute or two, I'd love some feedback regarding the site God bless!
  5. That'd be me, though I'm just getting started. Are you thinking about developmental editing, line-by-line editing/copyediting, or general proofreading? Or all the above? You can see some additional details on my writing/editing site is Soultraction.com. I'd be happy to do some basic editing for free since I'm just now getting all this up and running John
  6. Hello neighbor! My dad's side of the family is from Louisville, so we always share some friendly rival banter around the holidays Thank you for your encouragement. God bless!
  7. Well, geez, now I really do have to buy this book. Looking forward to it
  8. So thankful to have found this community! I live in KY with my wonderful, wouldn't-trade-em-for-the-world wife and two kids. Down deep? I love God with all my heart and I need him every day. It's the simple, core message of my life. I've written about that (and a couple other things) on my writing/ministry/editing website that I'm just now getting off the ground: soultraction.com I also teach music lessons (drums and guitar--about 20 students a week) and I love to write and edit. Sometimes I watch basketball. (Mostly I watch Steph Curry's wizardry--but as a Kentuckian it's required that I watch UK basketball, too, so I do.) I'm excited to meet and learn and enjoy the writing journey with you fine people. What a great website and resource
  9. This is awesome! Thank you. I'll definitely dig into this John
  10. Wow, great info. Thank you! I'm not familiar with the resources you mentioned, but I'm excited to explore them. It does sound like they'd be helpful for me. I like being a pantser but I don't trust my pantserness, so I need to plan a bit to make sure I don't end up with a total mess!
  11. Curious to hear feedback from those who've tried Ingermanson's popular snowflake method. Also curious about how you've adapted it or tweaked it to your own personal style. How does it compare with other plot and structure methods/books? I've read Ingermanson's book and really liked it, and I'm putting together a book outline using the method, but still would love to hear some dos/don'ts from those who've tried it... God bless!
