  1. I agree here as well. You just have to get the words down on the page. But for some of us, including myself, it's a never ending battle.
  2. May the Lord bless him and keep him.
  3. Praying for the Lord to touch you and heal you.
  4. I say you could even try a Narnia-like approach. But I agree with everyone else. Magic, even in fiction, is something not to be messed with. Here's another scripture for you to think about: Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God. - Leviticus 31:19
  5. Welcome. Glad you could join us.
  6. Got another scripture to share with you all. It's a passage in which the more I think about, the more amazed I am. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen. - Jude 24 - 25 To think that the One Who holds such glory, majesty, dominion, and power would keep us from stumbling, and would be our source of our abundant joy. And to think that God Almighty would come for sinners like us, in the presence of His Son. Incredible. God Bless you all.
  7. Welcome, Dan. Nice to meet you.
  8. Greetings, Mary. It's wonderful to have you here. Blessings upon you and your writing.
  9. This scripture came to mind: "You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you." - 2 Chronicles 20:17 I pray that the Lord touches them, heals them, and brings them to Himself.
  10. I've heard this before. Found it very helpful in giving antagonists character development and motivation. I've always been interested in trying to tell a story with a few characters as possible. Having too many can sometimes be detrimental to your protagonist and his/her development. That being said, a large cast can also be a wonderful thing. It's all about striking a balance, I suppose. Interesting read. Thanks for sharing.
  11. "The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace." - Numbers 6:24-26

    Full Circle

Welcome, HL. Great to meet you. Many blessings on your writing.
  13. Praying. May the Lord spread His wings over them.
  14. I mainly use Word. If you want specifics, it's Word 2013 on Windows 10. Some days, if I'm feeling up to it, I'll write my thoughts down in a spiral notebook I use to jot down story ideas, character names, etc. Then I'll take what I've written by hand and put in on the computer later on.
  15. I've always heard "show, don't tell" for writing scripts, which makes sense. But I agree, showing doesn't always get the message across to the reader. Sometimes you just have to tell them exactly what's on your mind.
