Update: My Cousin's Reply Regarding The Poems

Thank you everyone for your prayers! I really appreciate it. Please keep praying. I've noticed that certain things trigger my emotions. I 1st get angry and then I start crying, feeling hopeless and insignificant. I know the Lord loves me and all the negative thoughts are a lie. I feel so overwhelmed. I hardly have time for myself (quiet time, writing, my Bible Study, etc.). I do chalk up alot of it to Spiritual Warfare, but I feel it might be physically/emotionally originated. I don't know. I just feel so exhausted afterwards (physically and emotionally). So, anyway, keep me in your prayers. I don't know if I'm on the verge of having a nervous breakdown, or what. Thank you for all your prayers.😊 P.S. The pastor requested, almost a month ago, if I would share one of the poems I wrote. I haven't decided yet and I don't even know which one to share.

Update: My Cousin's Reply Regarding The Poems

Thank you, Lynn. I appreciate that word of confidence. I needed that. I guess I could be somewhat appreciative, since my cousin will be looking over about 20 poems the Lord gave me. He has told me that he will edit them for me, show them to their chaplain and if they're good enough, help me get them published (all at no cost to me). The poems will still be mine, but they will still have the rights to reprint them and distribute them to homeless shelters, prison ministry, etc.

Update: My Cousin's Reply Regarding The Poems

I'm doing better, now. Your prayers are always welcome, though. It's just been a rough week for me. God bless ya'll and I'm sure I'll talk to some of ya'll later.
  4. My cousin, Mike, let me know about the poems I sent: "I read your poems -- lovely! He can see me sitting in a circle with other people, meditating on these poems." That was very encouraging to me! He said he only found one typo.

Sad To Say A Former Member Has Passed Away

My deepest condolences to her family. Also praying for their comfort, during this difficult time.😔
  6. My daughter came home at 7am this morning. She had to knock on the door, in order to get in though. All 3 of us jumped up to let her in. She said she was just tired and wanted to go to bed. Before she went to sleep, completely, I checked on her to make sure she was ok. She was fine. She woke up a few hours later and said she was late for work; that she overslept. She had a neutral look on her face, but I trusted her to do what she said. Before she left, I asked if she would like a blueberry muffin, and she said yes and proceeded to go to work. I thought she was coming home earlier today, but she said she was going out with some friends. God bless her. I am doing the best I can to trust the Lord, with all my heart, because I do believe in the Power of Prayer! Until next time! Good night, all! Thanks again for all the prayers. I really appreciate it!

    Let Go And Let God

We live in a right now society today. What I mean by that is, we have no patience. No waiting for practically anything! Why do you think they came up with fast food restaurants (They are not always that fast either!)? The “hurry up and wait” is one of our least favorite cliches, too. As followers of Christ, we are striving, daily, to learn how to wait upon the Lord. What it boils down to is simply a matter of trust. We get in such a hurry to do what we see needs to be done, that we just jump in and try to solve it ourselves. It may seem like a good solution, until later on. It is then, that the “good feeling,” we may have had at first, soon dissipates, once we realize we weren't so wise. We soon, discover that the situation would have looked a lot better, had we put all our trust in the Lord. When we do pray, we often times find ourselves fitting into one or all of these categories: 1. We ask God for Divine Intervention, in hopes that the answer will come faster. 2. We ask God to give us wisdom in making decisions. 3. We often times ask for help in a particular situation, but we are somewhat unsure that God will resolve the issue on time and to our satisfaction. 4. We become, what society would probably refer to as, an Indian Giver or what is, in my opinion, a Give and Take request. We give it to the Lord, but the minute we have any doubts, in how the request is being handled, we quickly take it back. 5. And lastly, we give our request to the Lord and often times feel like we need to help Him in resolving the matter. All of the above ways in which we pray, are all good and successful to us, but when we make these requests, we must leave it in His hands. He is unable to work in that situation if it is not totally surrendered to Him! Our faith is strengthened, as we are waiting on Him. We begin to rise above our circumstances, because we have developed a stronger level of trust, in the Lord. The Holy Spirit begins to help us see things through His eyes. Several things, in our lives start to change, when this happens. It never happens the way we expect it to and He always begins on the inside (our spirit) and works His way to the outside (we become a light to others around us). Once this has been established, in us, then we can move forward. But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings Like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

Update On My Daughter. . .

She's back home now, but will not stay in her room. She's been staying with other friends and they have been helping her keep her mind of the situation she is in. I talked to her tonight. She said she had been crying all day. Please continue to pray for her. The situation she dealing with right now, is very difficult for her. She's actually to the point of giving up. Pray that she will have a hunger and desire to come back to church and eventually rededicate her life to the Lord. I want to hold her and hug her, because, for one, she is my only child (even though we have raised my grandson since he was 3; he is now 12 and in the 7th grade) and I treasure all the rare moments that I do get to talk with her and let her cry on my shoulder. I know she will eventually have to come home and face reality. I want to be there for her when she does, though. Thank you for all your prayers!😊

    Happy Birthday, Linda Delgado!

Thank you for the birthday wishes!!😊
  13. Please pray for my daughter. When I talked to her earlier today, she was having an emotional melt down. She has alot of relational problems going on right, plus found out recently that her "former" boyfriend was sleeping with her ex best friend (has known her for 16 yrs.). She poured her heart out to me and was telling me how much trust she had in her until now. She also needs to come back to the Lord. She's been away from Him, doing her own thing. It just breaks my heart to see her this way!😥 Right now she's stuck in Corpus trying to refurbish a vehicle she recently bought. Thank you in advance for the prayers! May God receive all the glory!😊

Please Pray For Me. . .

Thank you for all your prayers, everyone! I really do appreciate it! My husband told me this morning (after I said i was quitting writing and I would available to him 24/7 now) that if writing made me happy as well as others, he wanted me to continue with it. He said that once he saw others were happy with what I was doing he realized how much it meant. I told him that i saw it as a gift that God had apparently given me and wanted to use to mainly glorify Him. It is also a humbling experience for me, as well.
