    Advice Needed! Promotion/reviews/contests

Hello Lynn Thank you for your quick response. I have sold over 30 books to friends and family, and I have heard that several others have purchased the book online. I have no idea yet as to how the sales are doing, the book has barely been in print for one month, and the reports have not been generated, however. For Social Media, I am trying to get out there; I have a twitter, Instagram and Facebook account. I also have a website with a blog that I am posting in weekly. It just seems like I have a small following. I guess I am probably impatient. I had no idea about the awards and contests. Thank you for explaining them, now, I will probably sleep better tonight. I'll keep looking, but I won't get frustrated so quickly. Thanks again!

    Advice Needed! Promotion/reviews/contests

I was just reading your previous post. It was extremely helpful I will be checking out your website As far as what I am planning with additional books... I honestly don't know. I never planned on writing a book but God gave me very specific images (Mini movies if you will) I wrote them all down and ended up with a novel. I have started on a second book now. The goal of my book is to reach others hopefully give them a revelation of God's love or perhaps salvations. I would be very happy if I received some financial rewards for the work, I honestly don't know if that's realistic or not. I have been working social media sites like Facebook,Twitter, and Instagram. I also have a web page and a blog that I am updating weekly. Lastly, I am trying to get my Goodreads profile off the ground. and get some reviews or ratings, but that's where I feel like I am falling short. I am also having a hard time doing what you stress the most. A mailing list. My website was creating my by the publisher and they will not put a subscribe button on the blog. I can only give them the option to follow me on facebook, twitter or Goodreads. Again many thanks for all your advice, I will be checking out your webpage and in the meantime, I will continue to work on the things I know to do.

    Advice Needed! Promotion/reviews/contests

Hello! I could use some advice. I recently self-published my first book, and now I am thrown headfirst into this new world, I have no idea how to navigate! I've been getting feedback from friends and family who have read the book, but can't seem to get past that step. I'm still trying to figure out how to get reviews I have asked, but I'm sure I am not doing enough. I see so many authors post that they are award-winning books/authors. How do you find good contests to sign up for? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Rescued by Love

Rescued by Love is a fantasy fiction book. This love story was inspired by the love that Jesus has for the church, his bride.

    Hello Fellow Writers!!!!

Abbie, I wrote my first book, a fantasy fiction also. Hopefully, many more will follow. My book Rescued by Love is a sort of allegory between Jesus and the bride (the church).

Marketing To The Non Christian Market

I think you are both correct. I have prayed about this and have a lot more peace about just marketing it as a Christian Fictional Novel. The Lord can and will put it in the right hands. I have decided to donate some books to the local prison for the inmates to read. Someone suggested giving to homeless shelters, but I am not as sure about that.

    Blogging

Hello everyone! I am curious to some feedback on blogging. I know that Blogging in strongly suggested to market your book and keep your readers informed. I wrote a fictional romance novel, and I am having a difficult time trying to figure out what topics I could cover in a blog. I already started on my second book, but I don't want to give too much away as I am writing. Any suggestions? Is there anyone who writes Fictional novels and found success in blogging? Would you mind sharing your experience with me? Thanks

Marketing To The Non Christian Market

Again, thank you. I am completely new at this. I have never even looked into writer groups. Christianwriters group is the only one I have just signed up for. I will look into Romance Writers of America.

Marketing To The Non Christian Market

Thanks, Suspensewriter I have not searched for other presentations, Not sure how to go about doing that. The reason I am trying to reach the non-Christians is for a little bit of evangelism. The book is already categorized as Christian Romance by my publisher

Marketing To The Non Christian Market

Hey guys! I'm looking for some advice. I am completely new to publishing and marketing my book. I recently went through the process of publishing my book. It is going to the printers now. The problem I am having is how to market it. My book is a fictional romance novel as an allegory between Jesus and the bride of Christ- the church. I am trying to reach the non-christian market with the hopes of reaching people for Christ. The plan of salvation explained in my epilogue. It's written as an invitation to be rescued by Love, along with the scriptures that were used in the dialogue of the book. Every time I try to explain what the book is about, I find myself wanting to talk about the allegory. How do you think I should get around that and sell it as a romance novel? What do people expect to get from a fictional romance novel?
