Hello and welcome to NaNoWriMo club. What are you writing this month? And how are you doing with that word count?
We hope that belonging to our community gives you a boost toward your goal.

Thank you, Nicola. I am writing a nautically themed book on Evangelism for this NaNoWriMo. I know this month will not see a large book produced but it will at least encourage me to prepare in advance for next year and aim for a full novel. Word count target is 25000 for this year and God willing a lot higher next. It's great to be part of a club that is encouraging and fun to be part of.

Hello!
I love nautical books. I think it began with Arthur Ransom and Swallows and Amazons as a child. I devoured Hornblower and Ramage as a teen. I read Master and Commander and didn't go any further with that series. Too worldly.
What era is your story? What ocean, or sea, or lake? How are you going with your word count. Just over a week to go!
In joyful anticipation of your reply,
Nicola

Hi Nicola, Sorry for the late reply, I have also loved the Hornblower series and they really make the life at sea come to life. My series is set around my own personal experiences within the Navy and the Offshore Industry in the North Sea. My word count is not as good as I had hoped, I had aimed for 1000 words a day but realistically get around half of that daily. I took this November to test the waters so to speak and I can see there will be some readjusting with regards prior training. Overall though, I have managed to adopt some good habits and prepare some further outlines ahead of my schedule so it has lots more positives than expected.
