  1. I've worked with CreateSpace and now Amazon Direct Services. I liked CreateSpace, and was pleased with their print books and the layout process. I am not as "pleased" with the Amazon Direct process. I considered D2D before my last project. I will have to look into their service again. And congratulations on your book.
  2. A Christian band from the 1990s. I believe it the name stands for Decent Christian Talk.
  3. Pardon me, your epidermis is showing, sir I couldn't help but note your shade of melanin I tip my hat to the colorful arrangement Cause I see the beauty in the tones of our skin We've gotta come together And thank the Maker of us all We're colored people, and we live in a tainted place We're colored people, and they call us the human race We've got a history so full of mistakes And we are colored people who depend on a Holy Grace A piece of canvas is only the beginning for It takes on character with every loving stroke This thing of beauty is the passion of an Artist's heart By God's design, we are a skin kaleidoscope We've gotta come together, Aren't we all human after all? We're colored people, and we live in a tainted place We're colored people, and…
  4. With all the craziness going on in this country, I wanted to share this song by a group my two daughters introduced me to back in the '90s

  12. I can relate. Right now I'm working on a group of short stories involving the same characters. In a way, I don't want to reach the conclusion and have already started developing new ideas for another collection with some of the same characters.
  13. (A visit to the priory in Weston Vermont) I take a single step onto the path, grass and weed underfoot, stones marking the way. I came expecting the complex and received simplicity. For what shall I pray and what canonized words should I use? ‘Our Father in heaven,’ but this discourse points toward my needs. My prayers have already been heard. I surrender to the world around me, untouched by the progress of today and yesterday. I surrender to the silence where the Spirit’s voice is amplified and I am left without petition. My final step, reached after meditation well spent, listening to the voice of my creator, He who has counted the hairs on my head, He who has said come and in the quiet has given me rest. 14. I have always used photographs taken by my wife. Sometimes the effort of finding just the right photo can be quite a challenge. The exception to that would be the cover for 'An Advent Journey'. The photograph used for the book actually inspired the writing. Feel free to check out the covers I've used. https://www.amazon.com/-/e/B01EYBFEA6
  15. Thanks Lynn, I just signed up. We all seem to have a lot of time on our hands right now, so this will be great.
  16. Thank You for sharing your thoughts... God Bless
  17. Wherever you go, Ruth sang to Naomi. It is what we sing to each other, given and received through the fount of holiness. Dedicated on the day we promised God and each other, unity. Renewed whenever your hand is within mine. Wherever you go I shall go. My tears and my laughter will be there beside you. My embrace will be about you. Whenever we a distant, along the road, we draw each other close, always waiting around the bend for the one we promised to walk beside.

  20. Do you know where you stand, goats or sheep? Do you know the shepherd, have you submitted to His guidance? Are you certain you will stand to the right and not the left? Will you know you have served, fully aware of your deeds, or will you have loved from a heart born of compassion? Have you stayed unstained when He needed your hands in the soil? Do not say, "Lord, I never saw you hungry," when He is in our midst everyday. Do not say, "Lord, when were you a prisoner," when our old wait for Him in loneliness. copyright 2017 - Donald P James Jr https://scarletrobecreations.blogspot.com/
