2. THE JOY OF A SOUL IS YOUR STRENGTH!   Acts 16:26-27; New American Standard Bible   But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were unfastened.   While in prison, Paul and Silas rejoiced and sang songs onto the Lord God. They have just entered a city of the Gentiles by name Philippi (Acts 16:16) to proclaim the Good News about Jesus Christ; but were apprehended by the authorities over an incident which involved a certain girl who had familiar spirits in her, and the missionaries. (Acts 16:16-24)   After beaten to scorn, they were then thrown into jail. They both sat to reason over all that transpired. "Good Lord," Paul must have said to Silas, "Did you see how excited those Gentiles were when we spoke to them about Our Lord?" And Silas must have responded, "Yes! O Lord, great are You, and blessed be your Son Jesus!"   Noticed we were not told they lamented about house rents, or their "inability" to have children, or secure a spouse, contracts or jobs?!   Anyway, they rejoiced over the souls they won over to Christ. While in the midst of their praises to God for showing Himself mighty through them, something happened!   You have to understand that prior to their evangelical missions; they have seen the Apostles win souls before. However, never had they exercised and experienced it themselves! They only began their missionary expeditions from Acts 13. You can now understand the reason for the excitement even while bound in chains, in a dungeon!   Their excitement over the souls won for Christ Jesus triggered Angels to break them out! They never prayed for Angels to get them out. They never asked God to do it. They were not even fully conversant with Angelic Ministry up until that moment! At that moment, they then realized that the more souls they accrued to their Heavenly accounts, the more effective and efficient the Angels would work for them, even without asking!   This is the way out for all Christians today. Quit whining like and start winning souls to the Kingdom.   Your rent, and all other "problems" already have a way out, and it is tied to SOUL WINNING.   See beyond the ordinary... 3. SPEAKING IN TONGUES: THE ULTIMATE CODED COMMUNICATION Incantation: "special words that are spoken or sung to have a magic effect; the act of speaking or singing these words." (Oxford learner's dictionary) There are those who say that speaking in tongues is not scriptural. They say it is uttering mumble-jumble to God, if at all the one who speaks knows God. In some blockbuster movie, especially those centred on "Fantasy" as they coin it; you would find characters render spells by uttering fancy words and waving their Magic wands. The not so surprising part usually is this: the spells always worked in favour of the one who spoke or sang it! The conjurer spoke certain words most like not fully understood by him/her, but were spoken to a "fairy godmother" who did! My question is this: what is the origin of "Incantation"?! Someone intelligent might ask, "Did Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Ezekiel, Jonah... speak in tongues?!" Find Out...! 4. CODED HOLY WORDS The Holy Spirit speaks. He does everyday! He communicates through: - Scriptures. - Your Pastors, et al. - Visions: closed or opened. - Audible words... - Ministry materials i.e. Books, audio and audio-visual materials, etc. - "Mother Nature" i.e. ants, trees, water, et al. He always speaks. Are you listening? Please do. You need it. https://web.facebook.com/TheMindOfTheSpirit/

 5. YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN! EXPLAINING THIS PERPLEXING PHRASE Baptism is a tenet of our Faith. It is a Foundation Teaching of the Church. It is a Sacrament. A proper understanding of this precious tenet; will edify the saint, prepare the saint for the work of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18), and make the saint mature in Christ. Did you know... 1. That Noah and his household were baptized? (1 Peter 3:20-22) 2. That Moses and all those many lovely folks with him were baptized when they crossed that sea? 3. That John the Baptist carried out hundreds of thousands of baptism on folks, the Apostles included? Now, did that make all the listed above Christians? Of a truth; they paid tithes, the gave "quality" offerings, they helped the fatherless and motherless; they did a lot of charitable works but, were they called Christians? Jesus was Baptized but, of a different manner. Find out the difference between both manner of baptism... you would be glad you did. Here is a food for thought: In the absence of water; 1. Should we postpone Salvation of a soul who is will to accept Christ? 2. If the person eventually accepts, as it the case of the Ethiopian Finance Minister; would it be incomplete if we did not immerse the person in water? 6. CHILDREN OF THE SPIRIT Remember: the sense ruled man will always judge other by their appearance. It's where they got the adage: "you are addressed by how you dress." Well, in as much as it sounds good to the senses, it is not entirely true. "You are of God little children," said the Apostle John. It means God is your "spiritological" Father. Therefore, if He is your Father then, you must do as He does. God looks at the heart of man. He considers man from the standpoint of how much love he mas towards Him, and how much he desires to bring and give that love to other fellow humans. So, as you meet people today in your spheres, see them through the eyes of God. See their actions towards God, and toward others. Look at the fruits of the spirit, and not the flesh. 7. SOUL-FUL THOUGHTS At the center of it all, bringing a soul to Jesus should be all that matters to you. Your job, marriage, relationship, family, or any of such things is not an excuse. If the Dark Kingdom is so busy racking up, and snatching away souls into their fold; what excuse do you have? It is not the sole job of your pastors; no! You have a duty, you owe it to Jesus.

 8. IT'S OF THE HEART, NOT SIZE! It is not in the "size" of your offering but, in the "size" of your love for God that makes your offering to Him acceptable. We were taught that King David said he would not give that, which did not COST him anything. Well, David was King of Israel at the time and could easy have afforded anything he desired. God had this testimony of David; "I have found David son of Jesse, a man AFTER my own heart; he WILL do everything I want him to do." Interestingly, God had that testimony of David when he had not been anointed King over Israel at the time! He was still a shepherd, tending to his father's flock. God did not reject Cain's offering because it had rotten fruits, as we were taught to believe; no, Sir/Ma'am. It was not in the size, but it was of the spirit. Remember: For God LOVES a CHEERFUL giver... God is a Spirit, and they that present their offerings must do so in spirit - cheerfully! You can still give a "quality" or "fat" offering and still not obey the simplest of God's instructions. Be wise!

 9. Honour His Gifts to You The above "Subject" brings to mind, what transpired between the prophet Samuel and Jesse in 1 Samuel 16. Samuel had said before Jesse and Eliab in their home, "Behold the Lord's anointed is before him." He made reference to Eliab. I love the way the Good News renders it in layman's terms: "This man standing here in the Lord's presence is surely the one he has chosen." (1 Samuel 16:6). How could Eliab have stood in the presence of the Lord if Samuel was in Jesse's home, and not in the temple?! This singular verse reveals to us the two sided nature of the Christian here on earth. 1. Samuel typifies the 5 fold Ministry Gift in Ephesians 4:11 (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers). These are Gifts the Lord Jesus gave to the Church before His glorious ascension. The Gifts are to: perfect the saints by preparing them for the work of the Ministry of reconciliation, and groom them to live the victorious life everyday. Jesse and Eliab typify the rest of the Body of Christ. 2. Also, Samuel typifies the Christian, while Jesse and Eliab typify the unsaved in our spheres. The Christian carries the Presence of God, and as such, is equipped to cause positive changes to unfavourable situations and circumstances in their worlds. Honour your Apostles Prophets Evangelists Pastors and Teachers. Likewise, if you are not a Christian, honour the one who is. He has divine authority to bring you positive and lasting changes in your life! See beyond the ordinary... God bless you!
