  5. "...(He) is the God of the waves and the billows, and they are still His when they come over us; and again and again we have proved that the overwhelming thing does not overwhelm. Once more by His interposition deliverance came. We were cast down, but not destroyed." ~ Amy Carmichael TAJIKISTAN: Church Leader in Solitary Confinement Sources: World Watch Monitor, Forum 18 Photo: World Watch Monitor A Tajik church leader who was serving a three-year sentence for "singing extremist songs in church and so inciting religious hatred" has been moved to a prison located 350 kilometres from his home and placed in solitary confinement. Pastor Bakhrom Kholmatov was sentenced in July under the Tajik Criminal Code (Article 189). A previous report on the arrest and sentencing of this church leader can be found here. The 42-year-old pastor, who is married with three children, was arrested on unspecified charges during an April 10th raid on his Khujand city church by the National Security Committee secret police. After his transfer to a prison in the city of Yavan, south of the capital Dushanbe, Tajik authorities stated that it was "normal procedure" to place convicts in solitary confinement for 15 days before they are released into the main prison. Officers interrogated and beat up other church members at the time of the arrest, and removed Christian songbooks which they described as "extremist." The secret police, alongside other law enforcement agencies and the State Committee for Religious Affairs, also raided affiliated churches in northern Tajikistan's Sogd region in February; and, in March, officials closed down a church in Konibodom (about 80 kilometres east of Khujand) after interrogating and torturing church members. Pastor Bakrom's accusers may be seeking to cause him harm, yet our Almighty God promises in His Word to ultimately turn this situation around for the good of those who love Him, while also orchestrating a plan that will save many lives (Romans 8:28; Genesis 50:20). Even though false allegations are being presented, pray that the Lord will work out His greater purposes -- powerfully mediating on behalf of the imprisoned pastor and speaking truth into the hearts of those in need of eternal salvation. Although the security of believers in this country are seriously under threat, may they be reminded that true safety and rest lie in the One who provides supernatural help, strength and comfort in times of need. BURMA: Two Pastors Charged for Alleged Spying Source: Morning Star News Photo: Morning Star News On October 27th, two assistant pastors arrested by the army in Burma (Myanmar) last December were sentenced to prison on false charges of unlawful association, defaming the military and spying. Pastor Dom Dawng Nawng Latt received a prison term of four years and three months, and Pastor Lang Jaw Gam Hseng was sentenced to a term of two years and three months. The two ethnic Kachin pastors were charged under the Unlawful Association Act for alleged connections with an armed ethnic group, the Kachin Independence Organization, and apparently spying for it -- even though there was no evidence to support these claims. Pastor Dom received the additional two years under the defamation charge as he was accused of criticizing the army and speaking too frequently with members of the media. According to credible sources, the two pastors were likely arrested and charged due to an event that happened in November of last year. During this period, both pastors had assisted local journalists who were reporting on army attacks in Shan state. These attacks caused considerable damages to a church building, as well as community schools and homes. The two pastors took the journalists to the St. Francis Xavier Church building which, at the time, had just been bombed by Burmese army jets. The initial arrests of the pastors took place on December 24th of last year when they went to the Byuha Gone military base to negotiate the release of a civilian couple who were detained for complaining to army officials about the destruction of their house. Although suspects are supposed to be tried after no more than 28 days, the pastors were held for several months without a trial. More about their case, including information on Pastor Dom's health challenges, is available here. Despite the nature of these charges, pray that both imprisoned pastors will remain loyal and true to their ministry calling. May these Christian leaders and their families continually "hope in the Lord" who will assuredly "renew their strength" (Isaiah 40:31). In the midst of this difficult situation, may these believers wholeheartedly cling to Him and firmly dedicate themselves to His greater cause -- recognizing this time as an opportunity to minister to others in prison as they await their hopeful release. PRAISE REPORT KAZAKHSTAN: Release of Christian Convert Source: VOM USA Photo: VOM USA On October 2nd, Yklas Kabduakasov, a Christian convert from Islam, was released from prison after spending more than two years in detention for allegedly "inciting religious hatred." Following his arrest on August 14th, 2015, Yklas spent time in pre-trial detention, under house arrest and, finally, forceful service at a labour camp. During his trying two-year ordeal, Yklas was greatly blessed by the numerous letters he received from those who expressed concern and prayer support for him. (For further information on how VOM's letter-writing ministry is encouraging imprisoned believers like Yklas, please review this previous report.) Since Yklas has returned home to his wife and children, Kazakhstan's parliament is considering further restrictions on religious worship and resource materials. The proposed legislation would double fines and punishments for religious offenses. Already this year, two church congregations in Kazakhstan have been banned from worshipping. We are grateful for Yklas' release, and our prayer is that he will quickly adjust to life with his family outside of prison walls. May he use his testimony to continue boldly sharing the Gospel so those who hear it will be receptive to God's saving grace. 7. The world's oldest ruler, Robert Mugabe, has just removed his Vice President on claims of disloyalty. This comes after rising tensions regarding Mugabe's succession and next year's election. But amid these political transitions and turmoil, will anything really change? Zimbabwe's suffering seems unrelenting. Repression is commonplace Unemployment and poverty are pervasive The HIV/AIDS pandemic is one of the worst in the world Life expectancy is plummeting But the suffering has become a unique opportunity for the Church to express the love of Jesus. Through feeding the hungry, caring for orphans, protecting the vulnerable, and healing the sick, they love as Jesus loves - sacrificially and completely. May political uncertainty and widespread physical need open doors for the Gospel. And may Zimbabweans come to know Jesus - their only hope for today, tomorrow, and for eternity. Together let's watch and pray, The Prayercast Team
  8. JUDE 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. ROMANS 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. ESTHER 4 15 Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer, 16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish. Thanks everyone for praying for us, we truly appreciate it. We covet your prayers, please share this letter with everyone yo know, especially facebook and your church family. We really need your prayers Our big church has a real problem, because the leader in position does not want to go on leading the church and the other brother who could doesn't feel he can. Please pray that God raises up someone who can lead the church from either inside or outside the church to oversee the 13 family churches. Some of the churches are really struggling, one has one leader and three very old church members. Please pray for our church, in Helen's words Many of the people who come to church, don't know why they come. Please pray that a deep work of the spirit may take place in the hearts of everyone who comes to church. Please pray for our sunday school, we have up to 15 children. Please pray forr these precious little ones. Continue to pray for the men in the church esp F, who was healed of cancer, but doesn't want to know anything about God. Also pray for W, Y and H, who need to commit their lives fully to God. Thank God for people taking books for the books library. Continue to pray for F and her mother, who are locked into a very sinful lifestyle. Please surround Helen and I in prayer. We get up for early morning prayer, no one joins us, we pray at lunchtime and as soon as she arrives home. 20 people used to come to thursday prayer meeting, less then 8 now. We went to witness in park on saturday, only 3 church members turned up.. apart from me and Helen. But then isn't that the case, christians want comfort. They want to stay in their air conditioned churches and share gospel. Let me ask you, what is the first two letters of the word Gospel ..it is GO. If we can share gospel in China, why don't you? Please pray for M and Her mother, who I teach, they are very interested in the gospel. Please pray for our complex of ShengChengFengJing, it has 600 flats. There are many in great need. Please pray for our daughter Ming in Canada, it is very cold where she is. Please pray as we share gospel over the christmas period. Please pray as several so called members, who have left the church are now trying to recruit our members, they promote the love and prosperity gospel of Joel Osteen and Joseph prince. Helen will stand up in church to warn the rest of the church against them. We have confronted them individually and then with two or three of us and now is the final stand. Please pray against these false gospels, they spread like wildfire through China. We have been praying and trying for a baby since we were married, God has promised, but so far.. nothing. A lady who sometimes goes to the church has paid much to have twins through test tube, although she infrequently comes to church, she shows no fruit of salvation. Continue in prayer for us, surround us with your prayers, they are our covering. We pray betwen the following times 6:30-7:30am, 12:30-1pm, 5:30-6pm weekdays Thursday Night prayer meeting 7.30-9pm Please join us, we are serious about prayer.. are you? If you are then please join us. You can join us at the same time in your time zone. You can't pray for all of China, but you can adopt us as your church, please support us, pray for us. Please let us know if you are praying for us. Thanks so much Yao Hua Men Family Church Nanjing
  9. "God is too good to be unkind and He is too wise to be mistaken. And when we cannot trace His hand, we must trust His heart." ~ Charles Spurgeon IRAQ: Families Again Forced to Flee Hometown Sources: Christian Solidarity Worldwide, The Christian Post Hundreds of Iraqi Christian families had recently returned to their hometown of Teleskuf, after being displaced for years due to attacks perpetrated by the self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group, only to be forced to flee their northern Iraq community all over again. These families have since relocated to Alqosh and other Christian villages in the Nineveh Plains where they are now seeking refuge from the internal conflict that's presently taking place -- this time, between two of the country's governmental factions. The town of Teleskuf, which is located about 30 kilometres north of Mosul, initially fell into the hands of ISIS terrorists in 2014. Yet, since its liberation last year, the town was rebuilt with the help of the international community; in particular, the Hungarian government. The collaborative rebuilding efforts made it possible for many Christian families to return to their homes. However, now that rising tensions are taking place between the Central Government in Baghdad and the Kurdish Regional Government, there is a deepened level of sectarian strife in the rest of Iraq. Many civilians have been wounded in the conflict, resulting in the mutually shared security concerns of leaders representing various religious, political and civil society groups -- along with numerous internally displaced persons -- over the country's troubling situation. In light of the chaos that has ensued in Iraq, we join in the urgent prayers of His people for the need of peace in this country, especially in areas where the conflict is prevalent. May God help those from the town of Teleskuf overcome the severe trauma they have endured by strengthening their faith and ensuring their needs for safety and provision are amply met. Additionally, intercede for Iraq's political leaders, asking the Lord to grant them wisdom, diplomacy and direction as they seek to govern the country justly and for the overall betterment of the people. NIGERIA: Plateau State Attacks Include Fatal Shooting Source: Morning Star News Pray for the safety of the country's innocent citizens who are vulnerable to militant attacks. On October 24th, a Christian woman and her two children were killed in north-central Nigeria. Armed Muslim Fulani herdsmen ambushed and shot to death Rebecca Daniel Choji, her 16-year-old daughter Suzanna, and 29-year-old son Joel. Prior to the shooting, which took place in Jol village (located within the Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State), the attacked family members had been on their way to a health facility in Vwak village. Suzanna and Joel died immediately, while their mother succumbed to gunshot wounds two days later at the Plateau State Specialist Hospital in Jos. At the time of the attack, the three victims were being driven to the health facility by a relative, Dachung Yakubu, who had also been wounded by the gunfire. Upon receiving this news report, Dachung was in critical condition at the hospital's Intensive Care Unit. This incident was part of a series of attacks committed by militant Fulani herdsmen who were targeting Christian communities in various areas of the Plateau State. A week prior, similar assaults were carried out in the villages around Miango town of Plateau State's Bassa Local Government Area. (A report on the release of a pastor, who had been abducted from the same Nigerian state a few months ago, may be found here.) Ask the Lord to provide greatly needed comfort and strength to the surviving loved ones of this tragically slain family. Also intercede for the many other Christians who have been victimized by the ruthless attacks of militants in the Plateau State, praying that they will not grow weary in well-doing nor lose hope. May God mightily intervene through the power of His Holy Spirit, manifesting His overcoming strength and love in the midst of such hatred and evil -- for the two-fold purpose of 1) ministering to His suffering people, and 2) transforming the hearts of the militants who've been inciting violence in these vulnerable Nigerian communities. UPCOMING EVENT CANADA: Momentum Conference Coming to Western Canada Source: VOMC's International Ministry Team In recent history, there have been news reports of many nations going through turmoil in epic proportions. There is reporting on the chaos of wars, governmental breakdown due to corruption, natural disasters, and the list goes on.... But there is very little, if any, (secular) news about the persecution of the faithful followers of Jesus Christ. All too often, when travelling to troubled nations, we find in the background that this particular group of people have been targets of militant Islamic aggression, communism, and opposition by extremist members of other religious sects.... Yet we thank God for the vision of Rev. Richard Wurmbrand. He gave us the mandate to not only be a "voice of the martyrs," but to also seek out our persecuted family members, minister to them and equip them -- no matter how restrictive or closed their nation may be. The Apostle Paul said to the saints in Rome, "First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is being proclaimed throughout the whole world.... I long to see you...that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other's faith, both yours and mine" (Romans 1:8,11-12 NASB). Paul was confident that there would be mutual encouragement by spending time with other believers.... This is true for us today as we reach out to our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ. In fact, this is the essence of The Voice of the Martyrs' international ministry. As members of the same body, each of us is on a set course, navigating to heaven's shores where we will collectively be with our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. Until we arrive, every one of us must press on, remaining encouraged and strengthened by the faith of our fellow sojourners. At the upcoming Momentum conference in Calgary, Alberta, on November 18th, we will be discussing the realities, difficulties and blessings of working (with persecuted believers) in restricted nations. Please pray for this important event as our conference speakers and participants delve into this timely topic -- with the purpose of effectively accomplishing God's mandate for today's global church as a whole. More information on this event is available at VOMC's webpage. Additional Note: We ask you, our valued prayer partners, to not only pray for this month's Momentum conference but also for the upcoming VOMC leadership meetings which are scheduled to take place next week, leading up to the Saturday event. May the Lord's presence be evident at every gathering, His anointing experienced by each speaker and participant, His wisdom and guidance clearly and concisely revealed, and His plans for the present and future of His global church be fully realized. Like the Apostle Paul, we look forward to our next meeting with you, so we can all be further encouraged by one another's faith! 10. WHAT JESUS WENT THROUGH.. At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to the death penalty. At the time crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst criminals were condemned to be crucified. Jesus was to be nailed to the cross by His hands and feet. Each nail was 6 to 8 inches long. The nails were driven into His wrist, not into His palms as is commonly portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew that when the nails were being hammered into the wrist, that tendon would tear and break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support himself so that He could breathe. Both of His feet were nailed together. Thus He was forced to support Himself on the single nail that impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could not support himself with His legs because of the pain, so He was forced to alternate between arching His back then using his legs just to continue to breathe. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the suffering, the courage. Jesus endured this reality for over 3 hours. Yes, over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind of suffering? A few minutes before He died, Jesus stopped bleeding. He was simply pouring water from his wounds. From common images, we see wounds to His hands and feet and even the spear wound to His side... But do we realize His wounds were actually made in his body. A hammer driving large nails through the wrist, the feet overlapped and an even large nail hammered through the arches, then a Roman guard piercing His side with a spear. But before the nails and the spear, Jesus was whipped and beaten. The whipping was so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. The beating so horrific that His face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The crown of thorns cut deeply into His scalp. Most men would not have survived this torture. He had no more blood to bleed out, only water poured from His wounds. The human adult body contains about 3.5 liters (just less than a gallon) of blood. Jesus poured all 3.5 liters of his blood; He had three nails hammered into His members; a crown of thorns on His headband, beyond that, a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into His chest. All these without mentioning the humiliation He passed after carrying His own cross for almost 2 kilometers, while the crowd spat in his face and threw stones (the cross was almost 30 kg of weight, only for its higher part, where His hands were nailed) 耶稣携带他自己的十字架后走了近2公里,而且过程中,有人朝他的脸上吐痰、扔石头(十字架几乎重30公斤,并只是到钉耶稣的双手的较高的地方) Worse of all of the above, was the wrath from his Father he had to endure. God's righteous anger was poured out upon him.. the righteous one.. to save us.. we who had no righteousness, but Jesus took our place, he took our punishment. God's justice and holiness were satisfied, so that his mercy and grace could be given to fallen man. Jesus had to endure this experience, so that we can have free access to God. So that our sins could be "washed"away. All of them, with no exception! JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR US! He died for us! Let us forever worship Him and give thanks forever and worship at His feet. What will ye do with this Jesus? Will you respond like the thief and the religious leaders who cursed him? Will you wash your hands of him like Pilate? Will you mock Him like Herod? 11. GEM 1 COFFEE BREAK 茶歇时间 "Proud Or Humble?" "For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks". 18:27 This verse talks about two different kinds of people and God's dealing with each of them. They are the humble and the proud. The Greek word here for afflicted means: poor, afflicted, humble, lowly. The high looks translates to those who are lofty and exalts themselves. This comparison of these two different people does not necessarily mean in the way they deal with and treat others. This isn't just about your attitude toward mankind. These have more to do with your attitude toward the Lord. Which one of these people are you? Are you an humble person when it comes to the Lord? Have you and are you submitting yourself to His authority and Lordship over your life daily? Are you seeking Him for His guidance and direction? Or are you proud and boastful with a "can do" attitude? One that says, "I can do it. I know how. I don't need God to handle this. I can handle it by myself". Do you give Him the credit for what is accomplished in your life and through your life? Or do you take the credit for yourself? Are you proud of what your own hands have done? Are you humbling yourself before the mighty hand of God? Are you walking in the fear of the Lord? Or are you doing your own thing, going your own way with no regard given to the Lord? There are rewards for the humble and consequences for the proud: 1、"A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit". (箴言书29:23) 2、"And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted". (Matthew 23:12) “凡自高的,必降为卑;自卑的,必升为高”(马太福音23:12) 3、"But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble". (雅各书4:6) 4、"...God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time". (彼得前书5:5-6) 5、"When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom". (Proverbs 11:2) “骄傲来,羞耻也来;谦逊人却有智慧”(箴言书11:2) 6、"Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud". (箴言书16:18-19) Have a great day. There are rewards for the humble and consequences for the proud. Which one are you? And which will you receive? GEM 2 What does it mean for us to call God our Father? One of the most well-known statements of the Christian faith is the Lord's Prayer, which begins with the words "Our Father which art in heaven." This is part of the universal treasury of Christendom. When I hear Christians in a private gathering praying individually, almost every single person begins their prayer by addressing God as Father. There's nothing more common among us than to address God as our Father. So central is this to our Christian experience that in the nineteenth century, there were some who said the basic essence of the whole Christian religion can be reduced to two points: the universal brotherhood of man and the universal fatherhood of God. In that context I am afraid we have missed one of the most radical teachings of Jesus. A few years ago, a German scholar was doing research in New Testament literature and discovered that in the entire history of Judaism—in all existing books of the Old Testament and all existing books of extrabiblical Jewish writings dating from the beginning of Judaism until the tenth century A.D. in Italy—there is not a single reference of a Jewish person addressing God directly in the first person as Father. There were appropriate forms of address that were used by Jewish people in the Old Testament, and the children were trained to address God in proper phrases of respect. All these titles were memorized, and the term Father was not among them. The first Jewish rabbi to call God "Father" directly was Jesus of Nazareth. It was a radical departure from tradition, and in fact, in every recorded prayer we have from the lips of Jesus save one, he calls God "Father." It was for that reason that many of Jesus' enemies sought to destroy him; he assumed to have this intimate, personal relationship with the sovereign God of heaven and the creator of all things, and he dared to speak in such intimate terms with God. What's even more radical is that Jesus says to his people, "When you pray, you say, 'Our Father.'" He has given to us the right and privilege to come into the presence of the majesty of God and address him as Father because indeed he is our Father. He has adopted us into his family and made us coheirs with his only begotten Son (Rom. 8:17). (罗8:17) GEM 3 PASTOR CECIL “PASS THE MUSTARD PLEASE!” 17:20 “- - - if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” ... What is the most difficult thing you are facing in your life right now? What task or tribulation is so great you feel like it is ready to flatten you out? Who is looming over you ready to do you harm? What mountain threatens to collapse on you? Faith is not measured by the bushel, but by the seed. Let me repeat that again: Faith is not measured by the bushel, but by the seed. All God asks of us is a tiny seed of faith and He steps in to do the miracle we need. The Lord is eager to bless those who open their hearts to His blessing. We sometimes feel that the challenges we face are too great for God to handle. That is a lot of baloney! Nothing is impossible with God! Even the disciples of Jesus felt they were not up to the task of working miracles. Before we are too critical of these disciples, what about the situations in our lives? Do we have mustard-seed size faith to turn our problems into the opportunities for God to bring about His deliverance? Are we committed to trust in His strength and wisdom rather than trying to do things ourselves? By faith we can say: "Pass the mustard, please!" GEM 4 DR KENNY MCCLINTON TRUSTING IN THE LORD PSALM 37:5-6 信靠主 诗篇 37:5-6 Text: “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgement as the noonday.” Psalm 37:5-6. Good morning, truly committed Christian! There is no more powerful means of reaching precious souls for Christ’s Kingdom than to witness a truly committed Christian man or woman, endeavouring to live life in full communion and close fellowship with the Living Lord God. May the Lord God grant us more and more truly committed Christian witnesses, whose public testimony honours Christ and draws souls to His Cross to receive Eternal Salvation. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.” (马太福音 5:16) What is the initial, totally necessary, act of sinful man in seeking to ‘commit his/her way unto the Lord’? What action does this act of true commitment to God require? 1. Full recognition of one’s sin. Any semblance of full commitment to God necessarily first requires a full recognition of one’s sin; how much one has ‘fallen short of the glory of God’, as taught by God the Spirit via the writings of the apostle Paul. “...For there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God...” (Romans 3:22-23) 1. (罗马书 3:22-23) The ‘glory of God’ in this case is the true and perfect righteousness, purity, and impeccable Holiness of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. All other mere human, or natural righteousness, is self-righteousness, which always falls infinitely short of the perfect righteousness of Christ Jesus – God the Son. Therefore, in order to obtain and possess ‘...the righteousness of God...’, one must be Spiritually regenerated by God from all previous natural sin, cleansed by the precious and sinless Blood of Christ’s Atonement Sacrifice on the Cross, and made into a ‘...new creature in Christ...’ NOTHING less will do! “Jesus answered (Nicodemus), Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again (Spiritually regenerated), he cannot see the Kingdom of God...Except a man be of water (natural birth) and of the Spirit (Spiritual birth), he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.” (约翰3:3-9) “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed (or are continually passing) away; behold (look and see!), all things are become (or are continually becoming) new. And all things are of God, Who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry to reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world (sinners) to Himself, not imputing (putting to our account) their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” (哥林多后书5:17-19) Only ‘born again’, Spiritually regenerate, souls; washed in the precious and sinless Blood of Christ the Lamb; and sanctified by God the Spirit – can ever enter the Kingdom of God. This then is what is required for true and full commitment to Christ Jesus – are you and I in this manner fully and truly committed to Christ? Think this one through. 2. Progressively Sanctified. After one is born again of the Lord God, and sanctified from all committed sin, one must thereafter seek to be progressively sanctified from sins committed naturally, and daily, due to the weakness of our old nature – the flesh. The Lord God makes provision for this progressive sanctification by: 2. 主通过以下的方式为我们的逐渐成圣做预备: (a) confession of sin to God alone seeking His cleansing and forgiveness and strength to forsake future sins. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the TRUTH (Jesus Christ Himself, John 14:6) is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse (sanctify) us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word (Jesus Christ Himself, John 1:1;14) is not in us.” (b) “awashing of the water of the Word”: by continually “...studying to show ourselves approved unto God, workmen/women that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15); and being progressively sanctified from daily sins, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it; that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of the water of the Word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be Holy and without blemish.”; the Lord instructs us that, “Now ye are clean through the Word which I have spoken unto you.” (John 15:3) Hallelujah! Cleansed and refreshed from all committed sin! What a Lord! What a great God! What a Saviour! Verse 5. “Commit thy way unto the Lord, is rendered by the Vulgate, ‘Revela viam Domino’ – reveal thy way; and by St. Ambrose, understood of revealing our sins to God. Indeed, since it is impossible to cover, why should we not discover our sins? Conceal not that which God knoweth already and would have thee to make known. It is very ill office to be the Devil’s secretary. Oh, break thy league with Satan by revealing his secrets, thy sins, to God.” “...Trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass. He does well to leave the whole matter with God; and so to all of us it is truest wisdom, having obediently trusted in God, to leave the results in His hands and expect a blessed issue. (C.H.S.) (C.H.S) CHARLES HADDON SPURGEON Thought: True and full commitment to Christ necessitates a continual confession of sins; a forsaking of sin; and totally trusting in the Lord Jesus for the Ultimate Victory.

  14. Saudi Arabia has one of the world's worst religious freedom and human rights records. Yet a massive shift is happening. The crown prince has vowed to leave behind "extremist ideologies" for a "more moderate Islam." Decisions to give women more freedom (such as the ability to legally drive) and the recent purge of political and business leadership, all reveal the magnitude of these shifts. These are critical moments for a country with great global influence. What would happen if a nation so rooted and established against Jesus was transformed by His love? What if the royal family became followers of Jesus Christ? Do we believe God is big enough to accomplish this? Spiritual breakthrough in Saudi Arabia - the birthplace and epicenter of Islam - would send shockwaves throughout the Muslim world. And maybe it's already beginning! They are my heart and are so wonderful and amazing. They are my precious jewels.. my beloved and our little one, who bring so much joy, love and pleasure into my life. If any of you wish to stop reading now, that is your decision, but if you read on, you will hear sincerely from my heart. Maybe at the end you will say.. well that's great for you Keith, but it's not for me.. again your decision. I say like the Apostle Paul.. that I am not ashamed of the Gospel Of Christ Well I was born in Bradford in the UK.. many years ago!! When I was 5 I moved to Morecambe with my parents as they started a new job running a council owned retirement home. I was sent to church and Sunday school every week, under heavy protest.. I only went because we got Sunday school prizes and sweets. My Favourite hymn back then was There is a Green Hill Far away, but I knew nothing of the reality of Knowing Christ. http://www.hymnary.org/text/there_is_a_green_hill_far_away Although I sang it with passion.. I had no awareness of the living personal truth of it. I then went to another church, that was more of a social club to be honest. Meanwhile at school things got worse, I was placed in the worst class, this was the class for people considered to be educationally slow and not likely to take exams. My Parents fought very hard for me to be moved to a better class and after two terms or semesters, I was placed in Class 4S. Now in that class was a fellow pupil called Andrew, who was a Christian. I had seen him about, but had taken no notice of him. I owe Andrew a great debt of gratitude.. thanks to my oldest friend. I was known for being the school clown, always pestering people, well I started to do this to Andrew, but he didn't respond, this upset me even more and I became determined to upset him. This went on for quite a few months, He was really getting to me, he had something different, I had never seen this before and it fascinated me. There were also a couple of Christian teachers in the school, who were different.. I didn't understand why ( thanks John and Ruth).. these two had fallen in love whilst at school and got married.. and are still happily married today.. school romance is usually about pupils.. our school was different!!!!! Well Andrew kept on at me, inviting me to some meetings on Saturday night.. OK I said.. But I want to be home for the Football at 10pm. So one Saturday, I set off for Lancaster to Moorlands Gospel Hall.. a trip on the bus of 20 minutes and Andrew met me at the bus station and we walked up to the meeting place. The place was crowded.. songs were sung .. and then this man came to speak.. His Name was Victor Jack.. He spoke on Hell and what would happen if you died tonight.. if you did.. where would you go.? For the first time, I became truly aware that I was a sinner before a Holy God, but also that God had provided a solution to my sin problem and that was Jesus. I thought I was a good person, after all I lived in a christian country, lived in a good home, went to church and had never killed anyone, but the standards I had, were not God's perfect standard You see my friend.. Man has a problem. I had a problem that night.. you have a problem right now.. and that is you are alienated from God because of your sin.. there is a vast chasm separating you from God. But the chasm is no longer there as the Cross of Calvary has provided the answer.. but the question is.. will you accept and trust that perfect sacrifice that Jesus made? At the end of the meeting the speaker said I am going into a side room, if anyone wants to come and see me there, they can become a christian, well all I can remember is closing my eyes and it was like a curtain going up on a stage, the light was suddenly turned on. I turned to Andrew and said 'I'm going in that room', his face lit up, I don't think he could believe it. We arrived at the room, just before someone else, if they had got in first, I don't think I would of carried it through. Victor took me through the book Journey Into Life and at the end of the book, there is a prayer, prayed it and meant it. I knew that My sin had been dealt with because of what Jesus had done on the cross for me. Mr Scott our form teacher had said to Andrew, Keith will never be saved, he is beyond redemption, I suppose it proves that no-one is beyond God's redeeming grace. The changes were not instant and indeed took time, my word. The Lord has had some patience with me, of all his children, I think that I must be the most disobedient one, but ever since that night ,God has held me through my wanderings, through all mistakes and those have been many. God's love is the most amazing thing you can ever experience. Becoming a christian is not about saying a prayer or even going to church, if you go to Mcdonald's a lot, would that make you a hamburger? If you pray all day, does thsat make you a christian.. Becoming a christian, is a life changing experience, because it changes the heart. It takes repentance and faith in finished work of Christ on the cross, where God's mercy, grace, wrath and love all came together. Now at age 58, Yes I am that old.. lol. I can now say that God is truly faithful, HE has brought me through so much. He alone is my love, my delight , my joy and my life. A final word.. you may disregard this as the rantings of a deluded person.. but the same transforming experience, the same thing that happened to me, has happened to millions through the ages and is still happening today.. My Favourite hymn and the one that sums up my life is.. These words are the story of my life, I hope and pray that you can say them also 这些就是我的故事,我希望并且祷告,你们也可以说出你们的故事 http://www.constitution.org/col/amazing_grace.htm Christianity is the only faith that promises life transformation.. why don't you try it for yourself?
