  2. THE MANIFESTATION OF HIS LOVE 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:9-10KJV The depth of God's love towards His people is unquantifiable. No one had truly experienced or known what true love is until they encounter love made manifest on the cross. People are easily swept off their feet by a lover who does not just profess love; but goes b
  3. Biblical quotations without commentary: xxxxxxxxxxx Messages From God To You In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. and the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:1-5) TEN COMMANDMENTS 1. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the Land of Egypt; out of the House of Bondage. You shall have no other
  4. I think we all learn as kids when to shut up sometimes, especially if you backbite your momma!!
  5. Inheriting the Earth and Seeing God "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." (Matthew 5: 5.) "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." (Matthew 5: 8.) The meek and the pure at heart shall inherit the Earth, and see God? That's what Jesus said, but is that practical or is that even possible? If it's not, what's the point of trying? What did Jesus mean by "meek"? Did He mean being wimpy? Giving in to everything and everyone, even when it's against our own best interests; just to keep from getting harmed or into trouble? I remember when I was a sm
  6. Beautiful! "The Lord doesn't call those who are equipped. He equips those who are called." I read this quite a while back and it helps me to help others. Chloe JonPaul
  7. The Minor Works of God by William D'Andrea Simple acts of kindness can be of great importance in the eyes of God. Here is a copy of an article I wrote, that was printed in October 2009, in the Congregational Newsletter of the First Presbyterian Church Of Greenlawn, Long Island, New York, where I am a member. xxxxxxxxxx The Bible is filled with tales concerning the Mighty Works of God that were accomplished by the Mighty Men of God. They were men of great faith and courage, like Moses. However, Moses was a reluctant prophet, who did not at first believe that he'd
  8. That is awesome, Dawn. Praise the Lord! I hope you'll hop over to Meet and Greet and introduce yourself so everyone will know you are here and can welcome you.
  9. That's an amazing testimony, @Dawnv! I'm so glad God brought you both through and to drew you both to him.
  10. If my husband and I did not allow God to take over or lives and stop making our own messy decisions in our marriage, we would not be together to this day. Our life would be totally different. Our marriage was full of cheating, lies, stealing, drugs. Because of God we changed. We are not defined by our past. Because of God's Grace, we have been forgiven. We now mentor to other couples struggling through similar situations and host a bi-weekly couples bible study through our church. God allowed us to continue down our path because He knew that it would bring us closer to Him. He had bigger
  11. In short, I grew up atheist, my husband Catholic. My husband lost his way and got into Meth. Both he and I throughout the first 14 years of our marriage (and before we got married) cheated, and partied bringing others into our bedroom. We broke every vow. I found God when I needed to change and he wasn't ready. I couldn't stay in a marriage to an abusive Meth Addict. Because of God we celebrated our 27 year anniversary in May 2020. He has been clean since September of 2007. We now have a joyful marriage and happy kids!
  12. Amazing sharing; thanks, TrueServantOfJesus. Before I return to make a few comments on your post, I note lynmosher's experience to be a great confirmation that, life or death should not separate us from the love of Christ. His own love for us could not be separated by the pain of His crucifixion for our (not His) sins. Rather, it reinforced and confirmed that great love. So, we are learning to love Him, not even because we are healed, but first and foremost, because He first loved us while we were yet sinners! As Donald James rightly observed, "beautiful...." to Lyn's
  13. Here’s a quote from Weekly Word (26/11/2018) citing the Washington Post and the Oxford Dictionary: “Don’t Live The Lie!... In today’s world, truth is losing, announced the Washington Post. The Oxford Dictionary chose ‘post-truth' as the word for the year 2016. Since that year, we have watched political leaders rise to power in both North and South America, and across Europe to Russia and Turkey, who brush aside truth as a petty inconvenience” http://weeklyword.eu/en/truth-prevails-3/ Against this background, I pose the following questions. Should Christians and the Chur
  14. Your personal integrity is critical to the spread of the Gospel truth. No ambassador of Christ can thrive any longer or better than their credibility permits their authenticity.
  15. Thank you so much, Donald. The Lord is my blessing. Always.
  16. Lynn, what you have just said is very beautiful and heartwarming. You are truly blessed.
  17. I have had fibromyalgia for 20 years plus an assortment of other physical ailments. The Lord has allowed this for whatever reason. Mainly because I live in a fallen world and these ailments cannot always be avoided. My job is to learn whatever lessons the Lord would like to share with me through it all and to praise Him every single day that things are not worse and that He loves me. I stand on His Word that my heart, soul, and spirit are His and that is the most important thing in life. My body will fade and disappear one day but my spirit will live on. He delights in me because I
  18. How can you have this attitude? Would you mind sharing your secrets with me? Physical pain makes me rebel against God and hate Him.
  19. I have couple physical issues that I deal with and it can be come overwhelming sometimes but I know that it will not always be like this. I can remember having a conversation with my savior and I said to him I am not sure what is going on in my body but I know you will take care of me. I can remember going in and out of hospitals and having lots of medication having many mixture of things going on in my body but they could not pin point the causes. Some days were harder than others being so exhausted that all I wanted to do was sleep. Going outside and doing daily chores w
  20. I believe now more then every that Jesus came into the world because he wanted to make us free and that where he is we can also be with him. Jesus had so much love and devotion to doing what his father asked of him, thats not say that it was not love that drove him to cross for us. He had a set purpose on this earth and he did what he was sent here to do. Jesus became my savior my friend my everything not because of his miracles but because of his love for me. Every time that I am unable to sleep cause of physical pain he comes and he meets with me and comforts me and ta
  21. A Word For The USA Church (Continued Here As Part B): The Church Must Remain Apolitical To Be Effective In Speaking Truth To Power. Note: The topic of the message remains 'As Is' with the title above in both parts. Nothing of Covid-19 was implied there nor here. Part B: Talking About God Using A Donkey To Do His Sovereign Work: Here Comes The God-Pig! When God used a donkey to do His sovereign work, the donkey prophesied with a man’s voice (Num 22:21-38). Make no mistake: that was not a man prophesying with a donkey’s voice (I know, you would have loved
  22. Examples: When God Used King Cyrus And Emperor Constantine. God, in His sovereignty, can use a believer, the unbeliever, the donkey (as with Balaam), the bird (as with Elijah), or the very stones (as with the kids holding their peace, Lk 19:37). Whenever God uses the 'un-Godly' sovereignly to do His will, if God's people interfere, God backs off. (By the un-Godly is meant those God expressly chooses to use over a nation even though they may not be Godly. By interference is meant what follows). Every time God sovereignly chooses to use the un-Godly for His greater purpos
  23. Hi Egging. Yes, I am as curious as you when it comes down to how God did it or how we made that transition. Like they say, you took the word out of my mouth
  24. Hi Donna. You are spot on. I say, Amen, to your testimony! The Holy Spirit is the one that convicts us of sin while yet sinners in the world (John 16:8) and works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Phil 2:13). I just love testimonies of what God did and is doing today. Even more, when the bits and pieces of those testimonies bring the Scripture alive. So has yours, Donna.
