I--and Not Another

The song below was written after I read...

Job 19:25-27
25 I know that my Redeemer lives, and
that in the end he will stand upon the
26 And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God;
27 I myself will see him with my own
eyes-I, and not another
. How my heart
yearns within me!

I will see Him with my eyes,
I--and not another.
Others, with their own sight:
this remnant shall discover
as they shine in marvelous Light
of God's handiwork.
I will see Him with my eyes;
we will witness more.

What governments shall do
pales with my Redeemer
Who will resurrect to clouds:
untaxed joy for the believer.
More than hidden hope,
this revelation bursts
forth with faith to envelope
us within unflagging fervor.
