Albino Leaves

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord (KJV – 2 Corinthians 5:8).

And now?   A Better Resurrection is pending.

Albino leaves

snowflaking the woods,

done defying decay,

stems’ only hooves,

allude to a judgement

before we all bow.

The green if remembered

shall later regrow.

Absent of color,

once possessed good,

now without preservation,

unjarred in the woods.

How many tomorrows

has the albino withstood?

The borealis above,*

what leaves left in hope.

* Aurora Borealis

I enjoyed listening to A Resurrection. The final Easter, Resurrection, and all the fruits.

I did not know about Albino leaves so I looked up the plants to learn about them.
