Christian horror/thriller/suspense writers and readers: new site

Hey, all. Wanted to formally announce the creation of a new website for fans and writers of Christian suspense, thriller and horror.

The people who created Digital Dragon Magazine are forming a new media group, and our first (well, second) venture is called "A Flame In The Dark." Part blog, part community, part e-Zine, AFITD will feature news, views and reviews from the genre and will also publish brand new fiction once a week.

Right now, we're paying writers $1 per accepted story or poem, with a view on paying more once we've started getting some advertisers. AFITD also hosts a forum for fans and writers, and I'd like to encourage everyone who enjoys the suspense, thriller and horror genres to come check us out! Come be a part of the premier web community devoted to these genres now, while it still has that new-site smell.

What makes this site different, by the way, from already established (and excellent) sites is our focus on faith-based stories. We're not just looking at Christian-friendly fiction like we do at Digital Dragon. We're looking for, and focusing on, stories that glorify Christ and spread the Gospel of Hope.

Hope to see you there, and please, let me know what you think once we start getting rolling. I'm hoping to have our official LAUNCH (that is, you should start seeing actual content aside from the sub guidelines and forum) in June of this year. In the meantime, help our forum grow!

Checked out the site. Nice.
Though the forum's black and orange colors are a bit hard on the ol peepers.
Looks like a great beginning!

hey, thanks for checking it out! I THINK you can change the forum skins to something that is better for you to read... and I may make it so there are more available. Probably I'll do one based on the color scheme of the site itself... that'll probably be a bit easier on folks as well. When I find time, that is!

Just finished the first editorial, which will be published on June 1, and I hope to have the first contribution -- a poem -- on June 2. The first short story will appear the following Monday, June 7th.

If you'd like to submit a work of fiction or poetry, please feel free to stop by, check the submissions page for guidelines and whatnot, and go to town. Can't wait to see what you've written!
