Rebecca,
Just a thought - what about Crit groups for comic/children's book/illustrated works in general writers? I'm hesitant to suggest this because it seems like hijacking CW to host an art section, but perhaps that's not an entirely bad thing. I suspect I'm not the only one who's interested in both and I truly enjoy the culture you've created here - encouraging, insightful and warm. I would dearly like to have a spot where I could get crits for my works and gawk at the beauties other folks produce without leaving the security of the CW atmosphere.
Or, if you want to keep CW on track with writing, what about creating a sister site? One where users could expect the same atmosphere and friends from here, but would be free to talk visuals without distracting from literary endeavours. And it might be interesting to see the crossover you could get. *adores picture books*
I know there's probably heaps of other forums for Christian visual art, but I don't think they'd have what this place has - the familiarity, clean, caring atmosphere and the PEOPLE who've collected around here. And whilst I understand a lot of the people around here may not be interested in a visual art site, I think at least a few would.
Opinions anyone?
Piney.
PS: For those of you who know I'm supposed to be on my way up the coast now... we isn't leaving until the arvo. So you'll have to put up with me a little while longer, you poor, poor people.
