This is my second non-technical publication - praise God! He is awesome. Below is a copy of the letter of acceptance along with the link to the Devotional ventures site.

Cheers, and keep writing!

Hi Larry,

Thank you for your writing contribution and involvement in the Devotional Ventures project.

I recently received the Devotional Ventures book manuscript from our Publisher, Regal Books, including the 60 writings that were selected for the book (out of the approximately 95 that we submitted), and I wanted to let you know that your writing is one of the ones that was selected to be included in the book.

We appreciate your involvement in this project, and your support with promoting and getting the word out about the book will be very helpful.

See attached for the “sales sheet” that the Regal Books sales team is working with as they meet with book buyers at the various bookstores that they distribute through (CBA and ABA). This provides a nice overview of the book. The subtitle on the sales sheet has been updated since this version was created from “Devotional Ventures: 60 Inspiring Devotions for Busy Professionals” to “Devotional Ventures: 60 Inspiring Devotions by Business Professionals, for Business Professionals”. The early input from the bookstore book buyers is that the concept of “by Business Professionals, for Business Professionals” is an attractive concept that will be valuable to highlight.

Another update from this printing of the sales sheet (also due to input from the bookstore book buyers) is the ship date has been moved up to early December so that the book can be in bookstores by late December / early January. Everything is on track at this point to hit these dates.

The two primary initiatives that are presently underway are the editing of the manuscript and the development and beginning stages of the implementation of the marketing plan. We will be in touch in the coming weeks with requests for editorial support and fine-tuning of your writing submission as necessary, and we’ll also be in touch with specific ways you can support with the marketing efforts for the book. We are developing a specific “Contributor Marketing Plan” that we will be sending out to you in the coming weeks that will list specific ways you can support the marketing efforts.

We are also in the midst of reaching out to various ministry organizations to explore formal distribution and promotional opportunities for Devotional Ventures including Injoy, Walk Thru the Bible, His Church at Work, World Vision, Promise Keepers, and local marketplace ministry organizations including Kiros, High Tech Ministries, Silicon Valley Fellowship, New Canaan Society, Marketplace Network, and others. If you have contacts at any of these ministry organizations or others that you feel will be good potential ministry distribution/promotion partners for Devotional Ventures, please send them along, and we’ll reach out to them to share the project with them and to explore the possibilities.

Also, feel free to forward this sales sheet to anyone who you would like to give a heads up about the book and to those who may be interested in bulk, gift, church, or bookstore orders.

We are so excited about the impact this project will have in the lives of business professionals, and keep in mind that in addition to the ministry partnership opportunities mentioned above, the profits from this book will be evenly distributed among Priority Associates, equip, and Intervarsity Professional Schools Ministries to support marketplace ministry efforts, so we will be working to spread the word to get the book in the hands of as many business professionals as possible.

Thanks again for your involvement and support with the Devotional Ventures project Larry. I’ll continue to send updates along the way as we approach the ship date in December.

Corey
